Nexus 7 - cases and other accessories
I've just got my hands on a brand new Nexus 7 and love it! I'm looking for a good quality case (preferrably leather) that will also double as a stand. Not bothered about it having a keyboard though. Also any other must-have accessories?

My Nexus 7 is nearly a year old now. And I still love it! I've been looking for a good quality genuine leather case too. Accessories I definitely recommend are - a USB OTG cable with a good quality USB memory stick (so you can expand your storage) and a USB Ethernet adapter (for times when you're, for example, at a hotel with no free WiFi).

I've looked at a few cases but still haven't found one that I like. Gadget makers put a lot of work into designing a sleek device then people go and shove it in a bulky and ugly case which just makes it less practical. The Nexus 7 fits perfectly into my jacket pocket without a case but won't with one. I think I'll have to accept my N7 getting the occasional knock and scratch.
The one accessory that I would like is the official docking station but that seems to be permanently out of stock. |

Thanks guys!
Did a bit of research in my lunch break and found this http://www.casehappy.co.uk/nexus-7-3...-red-247-p.asp. Looks good quality and I like the fact that it doesn't completely cover the sides of the tablet. Plenty of colours to choose from as well

My colleague has that case for his Kindle Fire tablet. Its OK. Obviously not genuine leather. Also it will make the Nexus feel chunky.

I've got one of these for my Nexus 7. It's not real leather, but it's pretty well made and for the price you can't go wrong in my opinion.
See the reviews if you aren't conviced! |

I've got a couple of cases for my Nexus 7 (paid for neither of them
)The official case is a very tight fit, adds little to the bulk of the tablet and will happily sit in jacket pockets with it on, so perhaps of interest to LostFool. It is 'plasticky' though. http://www.asus.com/Tablet_Mobile_Ac..._Travel_Cover/ the other one I have is leather, so firstly when closed, it looks like a regular (paper) notebook, so isn't as attractive to nefarious types. It also has a hand strap which means you can slip it onto your fingers and not have to actually grip it to hold it. More comfy for long periods reading or for using on the move. It might look daft on the pics but genuinely useful. It has a built in stand, though its a bit fiddly. Should be obvious from the pics how it works. Will also 'lock' open so the cover doesn't flap around, the official one doesn't have this. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Google-Slim-...3926076&sr=8-6 Gladly recommend both. |

Thanks guys. I went for the below in the end. Not leather, but has a nice finish. Holds the nexus snuggly, without covering much of the bezel. Magnets keep the case closed and wakes the device when open. Very pleased with it
