American Idol: Live Show 2 (Top 9) Discussion/Lead Up
I'm hoping there are other lurkers out there who can't be bothered to make a thread like myself (until today). Last year, this forum was relatively popular but there seems to be no interest in this year's season.
Just thought I'd make this thread to chat about who you think is likely to impress with the theme next week? (Not sure what it is!) Who are your favourites? Any chances of a female/female final 2 this year? Any song spoilers? etc etc I'll get started; I think last week's top 3 was pleasantly surprising but I don't like the fact they gave away the rough voting order. Also I'm still pretty sure one of the guys could break into the top 2. Remember in the year Jordin Sparks won, the three women (Lakisha, Melinda and Jordin) polled in the top three halfway through the live shows and Blake still managed to beat two of them! What do you guys think? |

What do you guys think? The guys have been the worst ones for years. Don't think any should win. But Devin is definitely the best of the guys and yet he was in the bottom 2 ... I think Angie will impress again this week. I have listened to some of her music on her youtube channel and she is brilliant. The others are nowhere near as good. |

I just love listening to Kree. Such a fine tone and great technique. I always listen for how the first line of words is sung, and the best singers, like Kree and Candice deliver them with great purpose. The average singers just seem to be waiting to get to the chorus.
If the female audience gets a girl-crush on Angie Miller (which I detect is happening) she'll be unstoppable in the competition with a very good chance of success afterwards. It's nice to have a strong female competition this year, but I have to question the judge's choices for the guys. Some good singers seemed to get dropped in favour of this strange mixed bag. |

Thanks for starting a thread! Looking forward to tonight's show. I think tonight is 'Beatles night', so should be good hopefully.

Starting in a few mins - at least this week I've remembered that it's on 5*, not Channel 5.

![]() Kree Harrison starts show.....Those guys on guitar are very cute. Kree is a tad boring, not doing it for me, nor for that song either......5/10

Love the animated females...10/10
![]() Burnell next....Let It Be.....I know that song ratther well, so will be listening carefully. Come on Burnell....that was a strange sound a screech of some instrumentno, that note was too harsh imo....like squeezing a lemon.... 6/10 extra comment: those judges are so OTT! Hiya lou, but she has a great name, and a nice face, so she should do well.
![]() ![]() To be honest, I think the days of exciting Idol contestants has passed. Even though I liked Philip Philips from last season, it wasn't exactly a rocking group. I don't think this year's lot are gonna be any different. Of all the Beatles songs, why choose Let It Be? Boring choice and boring delivery from Burnell  |

Amber....Hey she's good, nice dress too...sounds like she is suited for Broadway shows. Not bad at all 8/10 |

Back after some interesting ads
![]() Loud family indeed nice to feel that excited eh Like this song Lazaro is singing, and he's giving it a breathless feeling, sweet guy too. Has potential....8/10 Thought the judges were harsh with him, and he wasn't out of tune, as I recognised it.. What he did was give it an edge, and being edgy is good imo. ![]() ads Last edited by Dix : 21-03-2013 at 21:49. Reason: extra & typo |

![]() Did Lazaro take a wrong turn and wander into the Idol studios instead of 90210? Nikki looks great tonight - so much better without all the make-up she normally piles on. |

Oh dear, poor Lazaro - looks like they want to get rid of him this week. What a poor song choice to give him. What a shame - was looking forward to some good songs that I actually knew tonight.
