If you are a monthly tariff and still have inclusive minutes then they are free.

Think you will find there is a separate thread for people wanting to threebash. Was a simple question, quite a lot of people, myself included are quite happy with the service three provide, especially taking their prices into consideration.

yeah I have never had this problem either, when my wife sends a text she sends it to both my phones and the "3" phone always beeps before my t-mobile phone.

on topic I beleive it is 15p if you dont have the full 3g signal, if you do have a full 3g signal then its 10p, but this is only when you use up your inclusive minutes.

There are loads of good phones on 3, but you get what you pay for.

If you go on 'pay as you go', you'll get one of the older phones on the cheap, and have the same issues you'll have with any poor phone. Also, i'm not sure if you get many cross network minutes this way.

If you're willing to take a contract, you can get very, very good phones like the LG flip range, or the new Motorola range, such as a Moto a1000 PDA for free (or very little) onn a very cheap contract.

The mythology that the calls drop all the time, and you can't get coverage normally comes from people who only had 3 at their infancy, or live in the sticks. The only major problem with 3 is the call centres, as they are in India.

As with anything, like I said, you get what you pay for phone-wise, and if you are willing to put up with the call centres, then 3 is a very good deal.

You get 500 xnet mins for £23.50 +£1.50 cash credit to spend on text or video calling etc....thats just one option on the £25 voucher. There is another one, plus various other options on the other top ups......read this payg price guide page 8 for payg.
It doesnt cost anymore to call in 3g, than it does in 2g, and it will drop your call if you start the call in 3g then lose it and roam onto 2g.....if that makes sense.
Praise three!

Once your minutes are gone, Yes calls on the '2g' network are 15p as opposed to 10p on the 3g network.

i was cancelling my gf's t-mobile contract for her and t-mobile asked why it was cancelling, i said to go to three and they had said that 3 charge you for your calls when you are outside of the 3g area, so this is only the case if her minutes are used up, its not if she has loads of minutes left?

i didnt think it was how she (t-mobile wifey) made it out to be.

Yeah, T-Mobile are liars; if you have minutes in your allowance left - it doesn't matter where you use them; 2g or 3g.
