HDR-1000S LNB Feeds
Hi, this is prob a silly question but worth asking.
We have just upgraded our old Humax Freesat Recorder to the new HDR-1000S freetime model. However, on the new model we only have lnb 1 and lnb 2 inputs. Whereas on the previous model we had lnb 1 and 2 input and an lnb 1 output. We live in a property which does have a dual lnb but one feeds the lounge, whilst the other feeds the main bedroom. As we live in a rented property we don't really want to get the hassle of having to ask landlord if we can put extra wires around house etc etc... Also, the wires come from the loft and are in-cased into the wall, so, unless we could pull the cables back up through to the loft and then relay dual feeds to the lounge, the only other option is to have a cable tacked around the house as the dish is at the back So is there anyway which we could still get two feeds off of the one lnb feed? On the previous box we just used a loop cable from lnb 1 output to lnb 2 input, so could get around the issue. But now stuck with basically just a freesat box and not a freesat recorder! Will look at getting local aerial installer to have a look at it, but just want to know if we can 'bodge' it for now. Thanks if anybody can help. |

You can still make recordings using single tuner mode, just can't do much else while its recording other than playback of recordings in the library or using on-demand.
If your not using the feed in the bedroom then you could always connect an extra length of cable to it and run it along the skirting board under the carpet to where the box is situated in the lounge. |

The hdr-1000s has an internal link to tuner 2 enabled on setup when using a single cable. Tuner 2 has the same viewing/recording capability as the Foxsat-hdr does with the loop cable installed.
