Look guys I know that Westlife are not to everyone's taste and that's fine but please try to be objective and don't criticise me for liking there music. Just because I like Westlife doesn't mean I'm a bad person. The reason I'm saying this is because in other topics about Westlife some people have made it personal about me. You know who you are.

There we go rant over!

I like all of the songs mentioned here, but my least favorite are: Home, When You Tell Me You Love Me, Safe and Lighthouse.

I think they shouldn't have been singles - first two because they are yet another covers. Safe because it didn't present Gravity in a right way (it was a typical Westlife ballad and they had plenty of different midtempo songs) and LIghthouse because it is a very average song.

I hate the fact that RCA thought Lighthouse would be a major success just because Gary Barlow wrote it - he can write bad songs, he is not a God And whats more, i found out recently that Gary didn't write the song for Westlife - that song was sitting on his shelve for 3 YEARS and then RCA somehow discovered. So basically, Westlife released Gary's leftover instead of brand new modern ballad, that's just great!

My favorite singles are:

Hey Whatever - it is a very cool pop/rock song, even the video was great.

Uptown Girl - it was done for a great cause and it is still the 2nd best selling Comic Relief. They definitely made that song their own, I hear more their version on the raidio than Joel's. Plus, the video was fun, that Bob The Builder jibe was great

Flying Without Wings - like I said, one of my favorite Westlife songs. The words are very touching and meaningful if you listen to it - and thanks to that song, people started to see Westlife in a different light because it is not a typical boyband cheesy love song.

Beautiful World - I am gutted this wasn't a proper single with great video. This should have been released instead of Lighthouse because not only it is a midtempo meaningful song, but also Mark wrote it. Plus, all the reviews I have seen, everyone praised the song and that is rare to see, that critics say something positive about Westlife...

Besides that I really love Safe, I agree with this (with a few additions ). Much as I love Gary Barlow, just...no. No. Awful choice of song, they clearly weren't that thrilled with it, and I'd have preferred Beautiful World over Lighthouse too.

My favourite singles are:

Flying Without Wings
My Love
What Makes A Man
When Your Looking Like That - my all-time favourite song, love it!
Uptown Girl
Queen Of My Heart - love this song, wasn't that bothered by it for a while but it reminds me of my mum and of Christmas for some reason, and it's just lovely.
World Of Our Own - much love for this!
You Raise Me Up

My least favourites are the Allow Us To Be Frank album. I prefer to erase this from my memory, with the exception of Ain't That A Kick In The Head. Also When You Tell Me That You Love Me. No. Just...no.

I'm not a big fan of the Turnaround album either, although there's some good songs on it.

My favourite albums are probably Where We Are (definitely one of their best for me - How To Break A Heart, Shadows, Where We Are, Reach Out, I'll See You Again etc), World Of Our Own (musically definitely one of their best I think, and nice to start seeing a bit more of their songwriting on it) and Coast To Coast, just because I like the songs.

I'm not a fan any more but I loved them as a kid. I think my favourite singles of theirs back then were:

I Have A Dream
Uptown Girl
Queen of My Heart
World of Our Own
When You're Looking Like That
My Love
Flying Without Wings

Least favourite... everything else they've ever released.

My favorite albums are also Where We Are and World Of Our Own, but I would also add Gravity - i definitely think they have grown with last 2 studio albums. It is such a shame that Beautiful Tonight wasn't a single...

Like you said, it is great that they could have shown their good songwriting on that album. I'm sad in general that the public never had the chance to notice they are actually good songwriters - the songs like Last My Of The Way, I Wanna Grow Old With you. Beautiful World, Before It's Too Late, Imaginary Diva, I Will Reach You... are all great.

Great to hear that, almost everyone says it is rubbish, even some Westlife fans I like it, they had great harmonies in that song.
