Nirvana, Charlatans, The Wonder Stuff, Blur, Oasis can be added to that list.
Dance music was my main thing though, I wish i could go back in time to buy some of the records that are now extremely rare! |

Early 90s was a fantastic time for music - in particular Wonderstuff, James, Inspiral Carpets, Jesus Jones and of course all the dance stuff as well.
I can't believe a new version of 'I've got the key' is to be released - I loved that song first time round. |

Oh and I forgot to add 'One night in heaven' by M-People - what a brilliant song that really takes me back to that time.

Going back to the original post, this could also be Mr Wendel by Arrested Development.

I heard James: Sit Down; a few days ago and it really put me in a nostalgic mood.
Anything by Massive Attack! And on the Boy Band side of things; we only had Take That and East 17 - Makes you realise how good you really had it back then. Last edited by TheSarge : 08-01-2005 at 02:30. |

I Was A DJ Between 1985-6 and 1994 And the music around then was incredable and most of it people will still remember in years to come.
I'm not going to even try and create a list as it would be huge. I was just playing some tracks and even my 11 year old thinks they were great. Some of the groups I played her were:- The Cure The Cult Sisters Of Mercy The Damed Siouxsie And The Banshees The The Bauhaus Killing Jock Fields Of The Naphilim All About Eve The Mission Zodiac Mindwarp The Stranglers Depeche Mode New Order Black Sabbath I could go on with a lot of pop/Dance stuff mick |

I think its the 4th release of "The Key, The Secret" thats getting released this month...mind you I never really liked the original.
K-Klass, Bizarre Inc, Shades Of Eden, Rozalla, Altern 8, The Shamen, 2 Unlimited, Technotronic songs etc. always remind me of the early 90s, they were good dance acts; miles better then the rubbish thats around today. |

Have we mentioned SL2 - On a Ragga Tip ?? - Vernon Kaye played this the other night on R1 and it took me back!!
All those classic indie tunes - I've never let go of many of those - just been listening to The Wedding Present this past week actually! |

New Fast Automatic Daffofils.
A superb band. Released 4 albums (I have them all) if you include their Peel Sessions album. Sadly, never did get the recognition they deserved. Oh, and The Real People did a song called "Window Pane" which I thought should have become a well know classic but it never got anywhere. Neither did The Real People for that matter ... Great days!
