This post is the epitome of stupidity. I don't need to predict an album release as it's up for pre-order with a release date? Of course all 4 singles will be on the album. You don't release singles in a campaign to not feature on an album. That's the point in singles, to SELL an album.

That's ridiculous. That doesn't always happen. Leona Lewis released Collide, and that never featured on the album, whatsoever. People release singles to keep them in the public eye, to make the media aware of them in order to then go on to release an album. Obviously this doesn't ALWAYS happen, as people, and the majority of the time, release a single, then the album a week later. I can almost guarantee that all 4 (although we don't actually know of a fourth yet, so you're just presuming) singles WONT be on the album.

But surely that's because Collide was a massive flop by Leona's standards and she practically had to re-record the entire album as a result of its underperformance?
I know that the way music is released is changing all the time these days, but it's always been my understanding that singles released before an album will end up on the album. What other recent artists have released singles that hasn't ended up on the album? Genuinely curious here.

Collide placed higher than Trouble and Lovebirds....so your argument about it being a flop does not stand.

But Trouble and Lovebird were both released after Collide - before that, her singles were doing well. If you don't think Leona had to re-record her album because of the reception towards Collide, you're kidding yourself. Her album was literally all ready to go and then it was pulled at the last minute. It was obvious her label had got cold feet over her planned new direction.
Stooshe doing Waterfalls was a cover. It makes sense to me that they wouldn't put a cover on an album (it made no sense to me that they released that cover in the first place, but that's beside the point.) I still think it's a weird concept that an artist wouldn't put their singles on their album. I just don't understand why they wouldn't do that. I can't imagine it happens as commonly as you're making out.

So you don't understand that someone (In Misha's case) wants to take time in writing her album and getting it to what she wants, instead of getting loads of songs written for her. You don't understand that the best way to keep her name out there is to release singles to keep people interested, to give them a taster at what kind of sound the album will be, and to make sure she isn't forgotten? If you genuinely don't, then i think you need to consider what you called the epitome of stupidity.

It's entirely Misha's prerogative what she does and doesn't put on her album. I was simply questioning why she wouldn't put the singles she'd released on it. It's not something I've ever come across as I, and a lot of music fans, often wait for an album to be released rather than cherry pick individual singles, so that I can save a bit of money and listen to a whole body of work all in one go rather than in individual snippets. If that isn't common practice anymore than fair enough, but it was just something I was enquiring about on here. No need to bite my head off!

However, yes. It is fairly common these days for people who take a lot of time to write an album/work on an album/to become happy with the album to release a single that wont feature on the album.

Just been on Misha's FB page....she done a cover of the JT's 'Mirrors' track and it sounds great...wish I could copy the link onto here though!!!

If you listen to Misha's 2 mixtapes you can tell she's going in a Rnb and Soul direction for the album she's probably just releasing the most commercial songs that will get played on the radio.

That's a bit sad really. I am pretty sure that if she was releasing non electro material she would be more successful.

Not really you hardly see solid Rnb and Soul singles that do that well nowadays in the charts especially in the UK but at least she is recording Rnb/Soul music for her album.The same could be said about Amelia if she went in a more Pop/Rock direction such as Demi Lovato or Kelly Clarkson she would be doing much better than she is.
