I think I must be OCD with food lol, first I have to eat the worst bit say the peas then the chips and then the fish, if I were to find a rouge peas under my fish I would be devastated
My mate on the other hand eats her peas last.
Do you do this or are you are bit of this and that on your fork.
As you can tell I am bored at work

It depends what it is. If I'm having a roast I'll save a spud till last but that's probably more to do with mopping up the gravy.

I normally have a bit of everything on the fork.

Always! If its a roast, the veg go first, then the meat, then its a mash up of stuffing, pickles, gravy and potatoes on my fork. Mmmm!

I don't leave whole items until last but I will save a bit more of my favourite so my last few mouthfuls are of my favourite thing. The rest I tend to eat in any order.

With most meals of meat & two veg type e.g. steak, chips & peas or a roast dinner, I try to get a mouthful of everything on most bites. If it's a good quality steak then I will concentrate more on the steak but every few bites it'll be a bit of everything on the fork.

It may be different with a burger & chips where I will eat the burger first and just nibble a few chips throughout then if i'm still hungry i'll finish off the chips.

But I have two friends who use opposite strategies.
e.g. Steak & chips
One will eat the steak first because that is the main bulk of the meal (and the expensive part).
The other will eat the accompniaments first, leaving the steak until the end. The logic being that he'll eat the steak because it's the most expensive thing on the plate and that he's left it until last to savour it.

Yes I always save my favourite to last. If its Sunday roast it would be sprouts, fry up would be the sausage, KFC it's the skin lol, pizza the crust (dominos I like to dip in the crust sauce they give) skittles the orange ones lol

You see, this is the problem with leaving the best bit until last. Even if you're good at budgeting, what happens if you're simply too full to eat the good bit?

Madness. Get the good stuf down first.

I'd usually have pickled beetroot or cabbage with a roast.

I usually have a bit of everything at the same time, apart from Jaffa cakes which I nibble around the edges first and jam doughnuts which I save the jammy bit for my last mouthful.

I eat whatever is better hot first, but tend to eat the veggies first, then the meat and leave the spuds/carbs till last. They can be reheated or reused later if I am too full.

I always save the most tasty thing to last. Veg to meat, not meat to veg for example

As I don't usually finish my food, I tend to eat the better parts first. So as not to be too full to eat them at the end.

I always used to when I was a kid, especially with a sunday roast. I would always leave the meat and Yorkshires til last.

I always eat a bit of everything as I go along, so each mouthful has got a bit of the best bit in it.

Hi Jambo,

Thankyou for pointing out that I can`t spell but my peas are deffo of the green kind

Another thing I do would be to take a twix and nibble all the buiscuity bit and then just be left with the caramel strip as thats the best bit nom nom.

Talking of my OCD ism I could never ever have foods touch on my plate, the thought of bean juice on my mash makes me cringe and I could never have gravy as it would make things wet

Oh and I would deffo nibble all the choccy off a jaffa cake eat the
sponge bit and then just have the disc of jammy bit on its own
