I just thought of how Amelia Lily and Misha B are both doing equally well in the industry so far and their albums and 3rd singles will be released around the same time...
So this is like a discussion for Amelia Lily and Misha B as individuals or against eachother.
How does everyone think the singles (Party Over and Here's to Everything) will do and how the albums (Be a Fighter and TBA) will do?
Personally, I love both and WILL be buying both albums and singles and have bought all 4 of their previous songs.
Also, I hate the name 'Be a Fighter', it just seems so pretentious lol!

You Bring me Joy - #2 (#5 - IRE / #1 - SCO)
Shut Up - #11 (#10 - IRE / #8 - SCO)

Home Run - #11 (#46 - IRE / #13 - SCO)
Do You Think of Me - #9 (#57 - IRE / #11 - SCO)

Bit of a long post, but would love to hear what everyone else thinks ))

I much prefer Misha B, her music seems more true to who she is. Amelia Lily just screams puppet with every song she has released as of yet. I hope she gets the chance to define herself a little more with her next album (if she has one of course). Amelia Lily's music also sounds a little more generic. I do like her songs but I think it is a case of "Anyone could make this track".

Homerun VS You Bring Me Joy
Do You Think Of Me VS Shut Up
Here's To Everything VS Party Over
2-1
Misha B wins judging on their songs.

But I prefer Amelia's voice and personality.

I prefer Home Run to You Bring Me Joy
I prefer Do You Think Of Me to Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)
I prefer Here's To Everything to Party Over

So...Misha B for me. Her music has - ok not what i wanted it to be - been a lot less generic than the 3 songs from Amelia.

Both have potential, but it's being wasted on them. Misha B's music just screams amateur. She's not a songwriter, and being on an independent label like Relentless means she won't get much opportunity to write with more artistic song-writers who would be able to turn a song like Do You Think of Me into a masterpiece. Also, there is no momentum for her unfortunately. She's just another X Factor contestant.

Amelia Lily has incredible potential. Her voice is amazing and she's a very good live singer going from fan recorded videos, but like someone else pointed out she's just a puppet and is having dance songs thrown at her.

In conclusion, they're both underdeveloped. They could both be great artists, but right now it's just not working.

I don't really see much of an overlap, but I definitely prefer Misha B's tracks. Hopefully they both get decent albums, though they need stronger fourth singles.

This. I always thought Misha B would do more urban/R&B music and Amelia Lily would go for pop rock. I could imagine Amelia doing Kelly Clarkson-type songs.

If you listen to Misha's mixtapes though there both been an Rnb Soul /Urban kind of sound so I think that's going to be the sound of her album I think she's probably just releasing her most commerical songs in order to try and do well in chart.

Yeah, she should be doing more pop vocal tracks with a raw production. Kelly Clarkson's recent track, Catch My Breath, sounds like it could have been a great Amelia Lily track.

But where is r&b selling? And there's your answer. Her music works fine for the climate. It charts decently at least.

She's not doing terrible is she a top 10 single and a top 20 single is not bad at all some artists would kill to get that and it was always going to be harder for Misha especially with the kind of music she makes and I'm sure bully gate probably didn't help either.

But still, compare it to the kind of tracks that were about when R&B is popular. It's not even true R&B, it's like they're trying to make her a soul artist but still giving her synthesized productions. The main issue with Misha is her music is just so...random, it doesn't belong to a genre and the tracks are simply not strong enough for her to make a mark.

I haven't heard either of her mixtapes as I wasn't able to download them, but maybe the more dancey songs sell better.

Well said. It's more her budget than her I guess. She should be on a US label (at least for funding and producers ie Danja/Hitboy).

Single 1 goes to Amelia.
Single 2 goes to Misha.
Single 3 goes to Misha.

I do think that the 2nd singles from both girls are the best of the lot.

I find myself frustrated with Amelia Lily - SO much potential yet we get ANOTHER mediocre pop record.

She's got a pop/rock voice, why not accommodate it!!?

Misha's music hasn't really made much of an impression on me which is unfortunate cos she was my favourite that year on X Factor, but I will still give the album a listen. Amelia on the other hand went a completely different route than I expected her and I actually love the pop direction. Anything Xenomania touch turns to gold.

Thanks. It's a shame she didn't release more singles like Home Run.

Much Prefer Misha's music so far to Amelia's who's music I just find bland and generic I liked her on X Factor but only really liked You Bring me Joy of the singles she's released where as I've liked all of Misha's singles so far.
