I'll take you home again Kathleen
I was looking for abit of help,my granddad passed away today & this song was his all time favourite song & we would like it played at his Funeral.
Now my Nan says that the version he loved was from the 1920's now having looked around the internet I can't seem to find a recorded version dating so far back, so would anyone be able to help me as to if there is a version going back that far or not? or what the nearest recorded version to this time was?...he was born in 1924 and they say the version was around that time, but I'm just having no luck finding it So any information any of you can give me would be absolutely wonderful Thanks

First of all, sorry to hear your grandad passed on.

Dont know the song but on the Wiki page it gives out all the people that have released or sang it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27ll_...gain,_Kathleen The only time I have heard it was on The Royle Family a few times when the character of Joe (played by Peter Martin) sang it. |
