Hi, I always watch BBUSA and never watch the live feeds but I usually have a good idea of what is going on. I don't know if I'm just not paying attention or if the highlights are really badly edited but I feel like I have no idea what is happening in this house!

Can anyone who watches the feeds explain the dynamics of the house and what is really happening? I didn't understand Emmet's POV speech about Liza, why Peter turned on Liza, why Jillian said in her goodbye message that she would have had Liza's back, why Topaz seems to hate her too? I didn't have a clue who Andrew was going to nominate as I don't know anything about him or AJ or Topaz or Talla etc...

I don't know who is in an alliance with who now, other than the showmances and Peter/Alec. Can anyone help?!

It's been pretty frantic.

Liza seemed determined to flirt with the males of the house, in order to gain some control. This worked with Peter and Tom to varying degrees. However she failed to ensnare any other of the males, at which point she wanted them out the house, and started campaigns to get them out, most notably Emmett. People compared notes on what Liza had been saying, and realised she was the source of rumours/lies.

Peter thought he was being discreet about his alliance with Liza, but the house mates had figured as much, and luckily for him when he was confronted about it by Emmett and Topaz, so he could do some damage control. Anyone else would be on people's short list to be on the block, I think. Once everyone turned on Liza, Peter could only follow.

Jillian attempted to create an all girls alliance, with Liza, Talla & Danielle, but it was a pitiful attempt, which amounted to saying they were in an alliance, doing a little dance..... and then evicting one of the supposed members, Danielle.

Andrew is no alliance, though considered a pair with AJ. Andrew and Alec have a genuine respect and friendship for each other.

This week, after Gary put up Tom & Liza, there has been a lot of talk of whom was going. It was pretty clear the house wanted Tom & Liza gone, and Andrew just did what was expected.

To be fair, there has been so much going on in the house that the highlight shows have barely scratched the surface.

I don't think Peter turned on Liza, he just knew it was a lost cause voting for her and didn't want to be the stuck out nail. His edit has been amazing on the highlights show considering what he's actually done in there, which is nothing except be a soundboard for Alec to bounce ideas off. If it wasn't for his closeness to Alec he would 100% be the next target after his disastrous game playing with Liza.

Although it does sound like Andrew might be targetting Peter next anyway.

The two main strategic players in the house at the moment are Emmett and Alec. Alec does seem to be on another level, I don't even see how they can get him out at the moment he seems to be covered on all sides, but Emmett is much better than most give him credit for. Topaz and Gary aren't slouches either, Topaz has a good read on people and has made some impressive game moves already although she seems to be blind when it comes to Alec (She and Gary did figure him out but then after talking to Alec dismissed it).

Andrew and AJ seem to be starting to play now, they've floated along being the old guys of the house and letting the young un's knock each other out but are starting to make moves. A couple of days ago AJ and Talla formed an alliance and then last night Andrew was trying to get Jillian and Emmett to commit to an alliance that consisted of them plus AJ and Talla.

So the show is far from over it's just gone into the next phase.

Or they have concentrated on Tom and Gary so much they just haven't bothered with anyone else.

hmm i've been following things pretty much non stop maybe i can shed some light for you.

this will all be from my memory and the stuff i've seen so don't take it as 100% factual but more of a basic outline or overview.

first off the actual show is so far removed from the feeds and like others have said there's so much that's went on it's very difficult to get an understanding from the show edit.

ok, well let's start with the main power in the house that emerged early on.

"the shield" is the first alliance created on day 1 between alec/peter after they realized they had similar interests and connected pretty well, they've been behind the scenes and probably have been in the strongest position overall throughout the game and have been involved with most power moves and such.
one of the things that's quite deceiving between the main show and feeds is on the main show it makes it seem that peter is more of a mastermind/gamer than he really has been, it's mostly been alec establishing things with peter backing him up from the shadows.

tom/emmett were up on the block together and due to this they sort of formed a bond, being targeted... they felt like they would continue to be targeted as the big males, the physical threats, etc... so they slowly began to work together.

alec approached them with peter at the hot tub and put forth an idea that the 4 of them could work together, super secret like and watch each other's backs and what not in which emmett/tom agreed and so "the four" or the quattro was born.

early on this was the power behind everything. the quattro with peter/alec in the true secret alliance "shield".

i'm not sure if it was planned this way or it sort of happened but they each took a girl, alec/topaz + emmett/jillian + tom/liza and were going to go to the end and then pick off the girls, and they started a boot order of who would go and when, this developed into "the 9".
it was basically the 9 people that were going to stay and make the jury house according to the boot order.

so, it was "the 9" thinking they were grouped and going to follow the order, and then there was "the six" within the 9, and then there was the 4 within the 6 and then there was the 2 within the four. shield.

basically it was chilled, everything was set... there was an order to follow that anyone in the loop was down with (the 9).
and all the talk seemed to be about making the jury, and pretty much coasting.

now, i'm sure some will disagree with this upcoming part especially because alot of people have turned to disliking him but this is the way i've seen it/observed.
(what i'm referring to is how much alec has to do with things)

even in these early stages alec didn't like tom, and was constantly flirting with making a move on him and he just wasn't happy with tom being a part of the four.. he would've rather had andrew in there (from what i remember him saying).
there were a few times alec brought this up in which peter sort of talked him down.

the cracks were there.

also at this time liza was hardcore gameplaying behind the scenes of the existing power (the 9), she was basically talking game with alot of people and building stuff, she was also trying to attempt to get a girls alliance going.

at that point alot of people thought she was the best gamer, and had her ranked number 1 in their rankings.

so, around this time you had.
(the 9) (the 6) (the 4) (the 2s of emm/tom and peter/alec).
and you had liza hardcore gaming underneath it all.

the rest pretty much floating and cool with the 9, but some things were forming (like the bromance between andrew and aj for example)

at this same time liza wasn't the only one gaming underneath, alec was also plantings seeds, building loyalty/trust.

this was a very interesting point, for me i saw this as a chess match between alec/liza in which they didn't even realize they were playing the match.. it was fascinating to observe, it was like a power struggle of who was going to get these floaters as their pieces to move.
and it would go back and forth where it seemed like liza was winning out and then alec and back and forth, etc.
(i loved that time).

also around this time (maybe a little bit ahead) peter/liza started up something, i'm not sure what it was exactly except weird.
it didn't make much sense to me why peter was doing this as tom already had her and it would've made more sense if he tried for another girl to bring her in if he was looking for a showmance.. they would exchange alot of info, at first liza would give more and peter would take in and it seemed like "okay, maybe he's just playing her or using her for some greater purpose" but then he started to reveal more to her, and would leak stuff to her and come to find out they had some sort of secret alliance going.

ok, so where the heck am i at now. haha.
as i said before, alot of stuff went down.. i'm only touching on the outline.

now, the big thing that happened around this time is that liza started to plant seeds about the showmances, that they were the threats and alec/topaz name were specifically the names mentioned usually.. she was more careful in how she talked about emmett
(not jillian as she wanted a girl alliance, topaz wasn't a part of the girl alliance plans).

this information started to leak a little bit and some of it got back to alec, not the full extent of it but enough to where she started to become a threat on his radar.
while he's starting to see her as a dangerous threat and planting seeds, peter is right there protecting her and helping her. (not completely betraying alec or anything but also not completely helping him either).

so where do we stand now?
we have "the 9" which are basically cool with coasting until the jury so they get to make jury, you have the 6/the 4/and the 2s.
and you have liza/alec underneath it all planting/building.

at this stage if my memory is correct it was something like:
liza had: jillian/talla/gary/aneal
alec had: tom/emm/peter/topaz

suze/andrew/aj were kind of still on the board but alec was very close to getting andrew/aj. (a short time later he did get them).
but at this point it looked like liza might be winning that imaginary chess battle with peter's loyalty uncertain.

it was around this time that tom won hoh and was unbearable in terms of his ego, it was massive and he was getting on most people's nerves... if you ever seen survivor where there's usually one alpha male who when they get to the island starts taking over and giving orders and what not, well that's what he was doing, he was basically giving ideas that were his and as if they were fact and everyone was just going to follow, like he would give the boot order with alec there and say they're going to boot topaz first without even any discussion or anything.

alec was starting to plant seeds about liza from what i mentioned before (small info leaks here and there about her wanting to target the showmances and in particular him and topaz).

i'm not sure the first pure moment that emmett was also on to this, i know he was also annoyed with how tom was dictating and wasn't discussing things with them but making decisions up in the hoh room and then telling them as if it's what they were simply going to do but i'm not sure when the first moment he started to go against liza was, i remember when he really, really started to go after her was a bunch of conversations between peter/alec/emmett about tom/liza and what was going on... and alec/emmett both agreed she was basically poisoning him and making his decisions.

once emmett was on board with this full on, and in the meantime alec had secured andrew/aj it was basically game, set.. match for liza.

emmett was now on a crusade to take her down and alec had already been on board with that, peter was still secretly trying to deflect and protect her and tom was oblivious to everything, in his mind he already had the entire game worked out and it was going to follow that perfectly.

it was even more of a blow to liza because topaz finally woke up out of her coma and all of a sudden went into game mode and basically solo saved gary from being tom's target.

before this gary/danielle were really close, besties.. and so he was in need of someone and that someone became topaz after she saved him.
they've been tight ever since, staying up late night... mad gossiping sessions.

then everything changed with the events that followed, the powershift twist that kept suzette which at the time i thought was a horrible move by canada to keep suzette (but that's mainly because i thought tom would go after andrew or aj would be evicted and i didn't want that to happen) but it did end up having a major impact.

things went from an easy 10-0 vote to evict suzette and who knows what might have happened, maybe it simply coasted along with the boot order and the 9.

gary ends up being hoh after the cheating scandal.
and all hell breaks loose, it's what everyone was waiting for that was working behind the scenes... someone who would make a big move.

alec/emmett and topaz was also brought into the anti-liza campaign after being in the loop and they tried haaaaaaaaaaaard to get gary to target liza.
gary held all night meetings his first night of hoh and demanded everyone give them their targets.
alot of people pushed liza.
(mainly due to alec/emm/)
and then later topaz worked hard on pushing her as well, as she had his ear.

they figured tom had to go up as he was blindly loyal to her and if he won veto he would take her off, etc.
but within all of that gary wanted to go after tom because he was scared tom would come after him with a fury if he made the move to take out liza (not knowing it was a double eviction).
he never budged on this and to appease him most people agreed that they would first take out tom and then liza next.

and so liza, even though she fought hard and well was doomed afterall, not even peter could save her.
the girls alliance was done (although noone informed talla) and she only had tom/peter/perhaps talla at that stage.

all that 9/6/4 stuff was gone that had previously existed as the power within the atmosphere of the house was gone.

out of the ashes, what stands and remains today:

peter/alec still loyal and an alliance as "shield"
although peter is much more shady and would probably cut alec in a heartbeat, on the otherhand alec has displayed complete trust and loyalty to peter.

alec/topaz are together but distant and falling apart every day.. gary has been working to put a wedge between them and it appears to have been working as they've really had a distance between them of late and it looks like alec is beginning to plant the seeds and preparing to cut her.

gary/topaz
they're strong, they created a secret alliance called "the secret wedding" when gary was hoh, they would stay up until like 7am in the morning gossiping non stop.

alec/topaz/gary/peter created a fakemance called "fourgy/4g" apparently it's something to do with all g's, glitter for gary/glasses for peter and i don't remember what topaz/alec is.
this is like a nowhere alliance and hasn't had much of any life to it at all.

alec/andrew/aj were pretty strong in the sense that alec had a somewhat solo hold on them but lately emmett has moved in and has what i would consider a shared hold on them for now.

emmett tried to keep tom, he wanted the old tom back from the beginning.. he felt like liza poisoned him and he couldn't save him or even talk to him any more.. he even attempted a last ditch effort to still save him that ended up not working.
and so now emmett has jillian.

emmett/gary have a confusing thing going, one minute it appears like they could really have something but then it doesn't, i can't tell if they are serious in moving forward together or not but ther's something underlying there that could bloom.

alec/topaz/emmett/jillian have "an understanding", a loose alliance based on being the only showmances.

andrew/aj have a tight bromance going called "androoj or andruj".. talla has since become a third which is for now referred to as "the stooges".

alec/peter/emmett/andrew have something going but it's sort of an illusion, it's like they all like the idea of it but it doesn't seem like it can work.

from what i can tell if andrew's side wins next week (andrew/aj/talla) than it's likely that gary will be the target and topaz the pawn.

if the otherside wins it could be either gary/talla depending.

but it shifts and flip flops so it could change.

keep in mind, even with this long ass post that is just a general outline of things, so much lesser things have occured (details) that i didn't talk about, i tried to cover more of the outlining power structure as it existed.

as a bonus, where i see the players:

#1
peter
as much as peter annoys me he is playing a flawless game right now, in that he's basically a ghost.. he's not on anyone's radar and he has strong ties that can easily lead him to an endgame... he didn't do much anything for himself and is basically a vampire leeching off alec and all the work alec's put in but like jillian, sometimes that might be enough.. if you can gain the trust/loyalty of someone who's really good and have them do all the work and at the end turn on them and cut them you could easily win it.
his game seems mainly to be ghost like, lurking in the shadows.. subterfuge, not allowing anyone to see him coming and waiting for the right moment to rise up and make his move.

#2
emmett:
he's in a very strong position, he's somehow able to gain support with people without being overly involved.. not sure how he does it.. but when people talk final 4s he's usually included with everyone, even being a huge physical threat and winning comps recently.
he's slightly above alec right now as he seems to be moving in on the andrew side of things and gaining trust/support with them and by extension his alliance.
his game seems to be his very keen instincts and awareness, he seems to know who to talk to, where to be.. he's got a super sense and instinct of the game.

#3
alec:
to me he's been at the forefront and top of the game since very early, his game is a "long con" game.. he doesn't attack he slowly builds and plants and then nurtures and waters that.
he's been on a bit of a downward spiral lately, and winning 10k hasn't helped him any and he's losing support with andrew and thinking of dropping topaz.. his game play is falling but he's still holding strong based on the early ground work he set up and if he can pull things together he should be ok.

#4
jillian
she now has emmett all to herself and that could be all she needs, it's not crazy to think that someone say alec/peter could take emmett/jillian to the end and she ends up sitting next to emmett and wins.
her gameplay seems mainly to be nice, genuine.. social and stick with emmett.

#5
andrew
right now he's in tight with a three (talla/aj) and he has a fairly strong bond with alec/emmett as well.
his game mainly seems to be social, being funny... fun to hang out with.. and he's built up the idea that he's not afraid to make big moves and so people like alec/emmett are relying on that down the line to make a move for them.

#6
gary
even though gary is a potential target next week, he's proven himself to not be afraid to make a big move, he's also proven that he can win comps.. depending on the situation he also could easily slip back into a powerful position, he's a total wildcard.
his gameplay mainly seems to be a combination of physicality/social and deception/unpredictability. (he's much smarter at the game and has better instincts than he lets on)

#7
topaz
she has alec/gary which are 2 strong people to have, there are many situations that could arise that would easily flip her into being in a strong position... her weakness right now is that she's losing alec but if she can gain him back she can save herself for the short term and potentially make some moves with gary.
her game is mainly connected to gary/alec.. she does have a potentially strong social in that she has some influencing power as displayed when she saved gary.

#8
aj & topaz.
they're basically the same, they're ok at the game but somewhat out of their league.. they're in an alliance with andrew but andrew is barely in a major position himself and so where does that leave him? aj is basically the go to pawn and talla is completely unpredictable.
even though they aren't the greatest in the game there is some potential there.
their game mainly seems to be floating but if they can stay strong with andrew who knows, maybe something could happen.

again i would state that is only from my memory and perspective and isn't 100% fact but more of a general outline.

if you have any further questions, feel free to ask and i'll try to answer.
hope that helps, thanks for reading.

So Suzette is basically no threat and yet they all want her out. That makes no sense unless they are terrible gameplayers. Also Gary saying he was the first to actually make a real move with his nominations really annoys me when Suzette made a move with the very first nominations of the season

i can't edit the above due to the timer expiring but i just wanted to clear up something.

it might be confusing that i mentioned peter isn't the mastermind/gamer that he's shown on the main show as and then for me to rank him as number 1 currently.

the reason i rank him him number 1 is little to do with his actual game play and more to do with his position.

if you look at it from an example out of the wild kingdom, you have say a panther that hunts, stalks and kills it's prey and is taking it back to it's base to feed and then a few hyenas come along and run it off and steal it's kill and feast.

now, one wouldn't exactly say that those hyenas are the experts that hunted and stalked, and killed the prey but the fact is that they have the prey in mouth and are feasting.

so that is the basis for where peter is ranked in contrast to where i view his game play.

because he's such a ghost and set up in such a way by being a ghost he can simply be a vampire and leech off others, it's not that different from what jillian is doing with emmett in some aspects.
except it's much more predatory.

is that good game play? i don't know.. is floating good game play? i guess whatever gets you far can be considered good game play but for me i like to credit the people actually putting in the work and making the social effort and building trust/loyalty, planting the seeds.. building the bridges.

hopefully that clears things up a bit in that regard.

That's a good breakdown of whats gone on.

Would just add, Peter is quite high on Andrew's take out list. Although Andrew is a bit of a blow hard. During a few conversations he had with Emmett, where he complained about Alec not wanting Peter on the block against Gary in one of his many rants, he said getting Peter out would be a good move for him. He also said taking Peter out would be a big move to AJ, even though he calls Peter a floater. AJ is of the opinion Peter is in too good a position but AJ is pretty useless...

I would personally have Emmett in the number 1 spot. He's loved by practically everyone in the house with the exception of Talla. But I suppose it would be quite easy to change peoples target to Emmett with him being the main physical threat.

good points.
i mainly chalked that up to ranting on andrew's part.. as andrew has displayed similar things in the past.. just a few weeks ago he was hell bent/ranting on getting emmett out and now they're becoming close allies.
he seems to rant quite a bit which is why i don't believe peter to be on his radar. (at least for the short term)

he's planning to go after gary/topaz for now, even if peter is on his radar at some level it's not immediate or short term.

the reason i put peter ahead of emmett is that peter's a ghost and does have the ability to make a critical move when he needs to.
where emmett has a visible showmance with jillian (where he's the leader), he's a visible threat in comps.. he's visibly in a strong position.

to me that says if people were going to go after emmett/jillian and alec/peter they would probably go after the more alpha players in these duos emm/alec.

but you make a good point, peter's name has come up with andrew and i could see why emmett would be ranked #1 with people.

Peter really isn't a great game player. Unless he goes to final 2 with a floater he isn't winning anything. The same with Topaz, even though I like her and think she's done a lot in there, she's only playing for second because the perception of her in there is horrible.

The reason Peter is not on anyones radar is because he does nothing, wins nothing and sits behind stronger players. Which is a good strategy but then his social game has to be good as well but it really isn't.

He says things like "I have Talla, she's so easy" the same day Talla is talking about taking him out with her alliance, the alliance that he's clueless about even though the stooges are always together.

My opinion, Emmett has it to throw away at the moment. He'd win in final 2 against almost anyone depending on the arguement and everyone wants to take him to final 4.

So has Talla teamed up with AJ and Andrew? I was hoping she'd make some form of alliance or show some strategy soon as I really like her as a houseguest but as a player she weren't proving to be much kop!

Well, in the first week of live feed Talla formed an alliance with Gary and Danielle with the purpose of getting Jillian out (Jillian was HoH) but it was short lived. Then she joined the Girls alliance of Jillian and Liza which lasted a little bit longer, all of 5 minutes I think. When Tom was HoH she also formed a loose alliance with him and Liza.

Ever since Tom and Liza were evicted AJ hasn't left her side, he follows her everywhere, so they've formed an Alliance. Since Andrew is with AJ and they talk game together they've all joined together and called themselves the three "Stooges."

She isn't an idiot, she plays the game. When she was talking targets earlier with Andrew and AJ she had a better read on the HM's than they did, but she soon replaced her opinion with theres. That's her problem she has no confidence and as a result is very flakey.

Emmett is my least favourite (what a terrible bore) but I think he's certainly playing the best game. He's not playing up to the cameras trying to be a 'legend' (*ahem* Alec, Peter) and he's not relying on someone else to carry him or just floating around. He knows exactly who he wants to take for his own good. He's got Jillian and I don't think she has any other loyalty to anyone else.

Some of the players are quite disappointing. I mean it's kind of lame that everyone didn't want Suzette to win HOH. The other floaters don't seem to be thinking with their heads because as soon as Suzette goes they'll be the next targets. If I was a lesser player I'd have been secretly willing her on if I knew she was planning to tackle the power players.
But it seems like they don't even mind, AJ the pawn is the worst at this. Like is this guy actually playing at all or is he just deluded?

I like Suzette as a character, but she's not right for this game really, she should have done the UK version of BB. lol
Everyone in the house thinking she's this major threat that needs to be got rid of is lol
