What will your dog do for a treat?

Following on from the 'fake limp' thread, what would your dog do for a treat - be it food or a bit of fuss?

My Chinese Crested girl will ask to go outside in any weather and 'make good girl' (pee) even if it is just a tiny drop to get a treat Repeatedly.

Old dog has trolled me for Tramadol before

Boy CC has no guile so has never managed to get unearned food, fuss or drugs

When we got our dog he already knew how to sit. Using training treats we taught him lay down and roll over. Because he learnt it in that order as soon as he sees a treat he automatically rolls over as that was the last trick he learnt! Its made it impossible to teach him to shake hands because he just rolls over and expects a treat!

We just about managed to get him to sit and stay, but only if he knows he will get a reward and there are no distractions!

In terms of attention, if hes done something naughty like peed on the carpet, broken something or chewed something that wasnt his, he automatically rolls on his back with his legs in the air for a belly rub! Its hard to be mad at him when he looks so helpless!

He also does his kennel face when he really wants a treat. Kennel face is a sad pitiful look which im sure most abandoned dogs learn when they are in a shelter looking for potential families to adopt them! And it usually works. Not always an edible treat but he gets a fuss.

Our new puppy may have already started this since wifey started giving him puppy-treats for a wee outside

Our boy will 'give paw' when asked for his treat. If we are a bit too slow giving it he will start actually pawing us to say 'come on, hurry up'.

I didn't teach it to her but my Diz will 'beg' and it's so unbearably sweet, it very often gets her what she wants.

If you ignore her for too long, then you get the paw lol

This brings to mind the old joke - something along the lines of...

Dog sits licking his bottom, someone noticing says - I wish I could do that.

Owner responds - give him a biscuit and he'll let you

My dog flips his head, as if to say 'come on then' when presented with a treat. He also thinks it's normal to go over to a piece of furniture his height and rest his chin on it and remain motionless and this will encourage us to give him food. It usually works though as it's quite funny to watch. When giving him a treat he also lifts his paw up, grabs the hand the treat's in and pulls it towards his mouth.
