But i thought it was very clear by the time Ash was in the HND when Imogen put her hand up saying she liked Ash, and then when Jayne and Nikki started bitching to Imogen about Ash in the bedroom.
That was weeks and weeks before the end of the series, so were Ash's fans just blind or stupid?

What seemed clear to Imogen's supporters and what seemed clear to other people can be two different things. Neither blindness nor stupidity need be invoked to explain it.

There didn't seem to be a big change in opinions of Imogen then, but there definitely was one later.

BTW, can anyone find a clip of that hand-up moment? I thought back during bb7 that people were describing it in misleading ways, but I wasn't able to turn up a clip (nor, it seemed, was anyone else).

This the week and clip you want? Starting around 24:45. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZVCfu_RXHA

Also worthy of note is that around this time in the HND Ash was asked who she was most looking forward to seeing again in the main house. She said Imogen. I think that only escaped on the live feed though? No clip so you'll just have to trust me on that. LOL

Imogen carrying the burden of being a "plastic" blinkered people to trusting her in being Ash's friend. I think it was only with hindsight after the series had finished that that really started to change.

Hmm. That might be what people mean when they talk of Imogen putting her hand up, but the thing I've been looking for (and which people seemed to describe in exaggerated ways) was (I think) in the bedroom and happened (as Dixon put it) "when Jayne and Nikki started bitching to Imogen about Ash in the bedroom."

I agree except that I think the change started earlier, with things Ash and Richard did/said in the HND and Richard after he returned.

Like this you mean? Around the 33 min mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_u5EJ1c3Uo Though as far as I recall it was shortened and edited for the highlights. But I think the essecnce of the convo remained.

Maybe. But it was a slow burner of a change.

Thanks!

That is the right event. I've long wondered whether it really fit claims like this one:

In response to Nikki saying Ash has been saying stuff, Imo said something like: "Things like that are bound to happen in here, it's to be expected!"
While they were both red faced and struggling for words Imo said: "I'm glad Ash is back!"

This is only one of many top Imogen moments...However I was surprised they actually showed this one! They usually cut it just before Imo opens her mouth!”

I don't think it does fit that claim.

It's not, btw, even clear that Imogen disagrees with what Nikki and Jayne were saying (apart from being glad Ash is back when they aren't).
