Welcome to The X Factor: UK vs US vs OZ Series 2!

Last week we saw the departure of Lakoda Rayne in the Sing Off against Stacy Francis with Stacy coming out on top. This left Pingu with no acts left at a very early stage in the competition.

This week is ROCK! Week. All kinds of rock are here tonight but does everybody agree what is classed as rock and what’s not? We could see some clashes later tonight. Get ready for the “rule-breaker” claims.

Last weeks encounter with the Mystery Judge shook the judges, but have they heeded his advice?

I am also pleased to introduce my new co-host and partner in crime - PINGU!

Fighting for you votes tonight are:

Kuda and the Boys
Reece Mastin

Steve and the Girls
Christina Parie
Drew
Janet Devlin

Tom and the Over 25s
Mitchell Callaway
Stacy Francis

David and the Wildcards
Declan Sykes
Kitty Brucknell
Rachel Crow

If all the judges are present we will... begin!

I am here and Janet, Drew and Christina are ready to go.

(This will be the last time I do this, because I'm running out of images to use, lol.)

HELLO PINGU! I have a friend on this side now YAY! Good luck tonight judges and acts! Let's jump straight in!

Performing first we go to the Girls category and their mentor Steve! After changing her song just hours before the show, she’s going to be showing off her dark side tonight – it’s Drew!

I am so happy you changed your song, but it still wasn`t the best Drew. The vocals were beautiful, and nice but it just seems like I have seen it all before. I feel that you`ve just stayed the same throughout the competition, when I want to see more from you. I think that you are in trouble again tonight. If you stay please give us somrthing a bit different!!

I feel like giving you a standing ovation just for not singing your original song choice as it was quite bad. That was 100 times better than what you would have got to sing, my only one complaint about it is that it is very much in the same vein that you've been singing in before eg slow ballad. I think this theme was an opportunity for you to come out a do something a little different (not One Direction different though), however you've kept it quite simple and within your comfort zone. I think your vocals were superb and had a haunting quality to them, I'd imagine the song change has saved you tonight and I no longer think you will be danger. Well done Steve for finding something better!!!

Drew, I have to applaud your mentor this week, he had a hard job as rock is a million miles away from you, but he pulled it out the bag tonight. Well don’t Soppyfan! Not 100% rocky BUT I will let that slide because it is so far from you, well done both of you!

Drew my sweet girl, what a way to start tonight's show. I know that we had an original song to work with but we had to change it at the last minute, but you were able to get into that song very quickly. It was certainly miles better than what I originally had and I believe that I have saved you tonight. I will agree and say that we will change it up and next week, we hope to take on a dance track if the theme allows it and you'll get to show how much of a performer you are. So I do hope you're safe tonight.

Kitty! Madam! Your mentor really knows where to find them doesn't he! That was like the types of songs you hear in Quiggins (a scary gothy shop in Liverpool). Very you, I kind of enjoyed it haha! Well done tonight!

Kitty Brucknell

Now that is rock kitty. That song was made for you, and you really got me in the mood for rock. You are slowly becoming my favourite kitty, and every week you have stepped it up from the previous week. Your vocals were incredible as always, and I can`t fault one thing, because every week you`ve done something different. I can`t see you leaving tonight!!!

Kitty; another fantastic performance from you; we went through a lot of songs this week before setting on this one. The song had edge, power and you put so much thought and feeling into the lyrics. You've been one of the front runners of the competition and delivered week on week for me, you've often divided the panel but your public support seems to remain strong. You are a unique performer and I think the last four shows have shown your diversity to the themes. Like all my acts, I hope people continue to support Kitty and give her the votes; she's shown week on week just how great she is and I have a lot of plans for her for future shows. Support the Kitty Cat Vote The Brucknell!!!

Wow Kitty I am very impressed with you this week, I also have to be honest and say that I wasn't expecting you to pull it off so well. It was a great choice by your mentor and it allowed you to show off your performance side which I've been waiting for a while now. You definitely pulled it off with that performance and I think you are fast becoming a contender right now. Well done for tonight, Kitty.

A GREAT response for Kitty tonight! That girl is going great ain't she!?

Up next is the last member of the Boys category, mentored by Kuda. He's planning to make us all numb with his voice, it's Reece Mastin!

Reece Mastin

I`m going to judge this, on the fact that the vocals were good, and it was rock, rather than the fact that it was very predictable for you on rock week. It was a really nice performance, but it was really predictable. I liked the staging and how you projected your voice in your rock tone, and I think that you are definitely a contender now. I don`t know if you`re safe because it was predictable, but I hope to see you up there next week!!

Can I say Reece; welcome to the competition! Literally my favourite performance that you've given so far in the competition. Whilst I think at times the power in your voice was slightly strained I think direction wise and performance wise you completely blew it out the water. I think the past couple of weeks have been safe and ok; however Kuda has taken it up another level tonight and I thought you were really great. I really hope your safe tonight and that with a renewed energy you'll be able to come back and tackle other themes with the same level of performance.

If I am honest I did expect a Linkin Park song, not going to lie, however, I did enjoy it, and this theme is pretty perfect for you so in some respect I wish your mentor would have branched out a little bit, BUT, it was enjoyable, so well done!

Reece man, rock is 100% where you are right at home so this should be a piece of cake for you this week. I found the song to be quite predictable, but it was still a great performance and I still have a great feeling about you, Reece. It's gonna be interesting to see how you'll improve and change again for next week. I think you'll be safe tonight, well done.
