Hi , my box turns itself on at 4:30am everyday and i cant find out why, ive checked timers etc and there all off

Check the power on, power on channel and power off options in the settings.

I have and there "off" when i wake up to turn it off menu is displayed on the LCD panel

Only other thing I can think of.

If it goes off again as it should then the box may well be carrying out overnight housekeeping. Not sure about the Freeview boxes but the Foxsat boxes do this every night.

i cannot see anything regarding automatic updates in menu also never did "overnight housekeeping" before

It is waking up for the automatic update check; you can't suppress this with the standard firmware but I think (but could be wrong) you can suppress it with the custom firmware.

Yes, the custom firmware package disable-ota does this.
