Danny Boyle' latest movie, starring James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel. Looks like it could be a decent thriller and is averaging 70% on Rotten Tomatoes so far...

If it's as dull as the first version from 2001 then I wouldn't get too excited.

I saw it on Monday and really enjoyed it. Highly recommended, just don't let your attention wander because if you do then you'd get very confused.

I watched Trance this evening with two friends and we all enjoyed it. Danny Boyle certainly knows how to put a film together.

Rosario Dawson was really good in the film, and she did a lot of research into the role too

Which shows alot in the film I think

Did Boyle use the original screenplay with a bit of doctoring from John Hodge or is it a completely new script?

It's based on the original but with more whistles and bells.

I saw this today and it is a really good film, it has been a long time since I have seen a film that I haven't been able to predict what is going to happen next or the ending. But this film was one step ahead the whole way and I think it is a mark of a true storyteller and film maker to be able to keep just ahead of its audience.

I would recommend it to everyone who asks and I think it was time well spent.

Just watched it, thought it was a little too clever for its own good, No one puts music and visuals together like Danny Boyle though.

Saw this today - just too far up its own backside for me.

Some lovely moments and a (mostly) good cast, but let down by too much pretentiousness and a script that really needs at least another couple of drafts.

I've seen it and really like it but found some reviews rather harsh e.g.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XWM50q0HVg

totally think they are just being a bit pretentious but each to their own

Saw it yesterday.

Great beginning, the first twenty minutes are awesome. Then it went a bit weird, and I honestly do not know what "actually" happened. I liked some of the imagery, etc, and will probably see it again on DVD, but I can't saw whether I liked it or not.

Have been looking on line for a full explanation of the movie (like when Inception came out), anyone have any links ?

OK... I was confused by your theory at first, then I read a couple of IMDB posts which took the same line, and it does hang together except that

I went to see this yesterday feel that although it was certainly entertaining, there were just a few too many twists and turns for me. By the end, I found pretty much all three main characters to be unlike able- so much that I didn't particularly care what happened to any of them.

It was one of those movies that I tried not to think too hard about and just went it. One thing that bothered me though was,

Spoiler

I certainly enjoyed it, just like some others, I felt like it was trying too hard to be unique. I found the music and some of the visuals to be excellent though.

I'd give it a 6/10

Hmmm, I hadn't really considered that viewpoint when watching the movie! Will have to re-watch it on DVD some day and look out

Sums up my opinion of the movie too, very stylish but whilst the first half was captivating I found the 2nd half dragged and the conclusion was somewhat unsatisfactory. WRT the text

Ah that would make sense. I suppose I had no reason to notice that at the time. I'll keep an eye out if I ever rewatch.

With regards to

I think it's convoluting the story even further and don't really see why it's a necessary addition but I suppose it's possible.
