Hi peeps, I've just bought myself an xbox with that kinect thingy.

Could any of you lovely people give me some pointers on what I should be looking to buy / download / etc. to get myself started, I am mostly into driving so guessing Forza is a good place to start.

Any other suggestions would be greatfully received... although no FPS please as I do that sorta thing on thing on the PC.

Forza 4 should be an immediate purchase, if you like cars/racing games you will fall in love. Also check out Forza Horizon, an open world racer with Forza detail and physics. It's as good as it sounds. Also PGR 4 is another compulsory purchase if you're into racing.

Unsure of what genres you like but Trials Evolution on XBLA is one of the best downloadable games money can buy, I would probably recommend that first. Also check out Shadow Complex, REZ HD, Guardian Heroes or if you fancy a bit of platforming then Banjo Kazooie/Tooie. All very different games.

That should be a brilliant starting point IMO.

Any other genres you like?

Good shouts on F4, F:H and PGR4 for racing.

Need For Speed games aren't total crap but I did get bored of them until the reincarnation of Most Wanted (although the original is still better).

There's always Gears for a 3PS. Even 1 & 2 still play well and the servers are still open to play MP.

Yeah I agree the original MW is still a good game! Bit expensive to find on 360 now though. Would also highly recommend Gears if you're after a shooter than isn't FPS.

Midnight Club Los Angeles - Complete Edition is a good choice, even if some say it's a rip-off of some NFS games.

Blur
Split/Second: Velocity
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Burnout Paradise

Are some of the better arcadey racers out there if you want a change of pace from Forza realism.

The latest codemasters F1 game is ok as well.

I'd recommend a wheel (not the floaty MS one though) if you are into racing, definitely adds to the realism. Only really works with sim type games though, where you're driving properly, not chucking about as you do in arcade racers.

With Blur it's great if you play online but unfortunately there's only a very small number of people who are playing it.
As for Burnout Paradise I think that is a great game.
