Fox sat HDR 500 Repair
AKW

It looks like tuner one has failed on my Foxsat HDR, rendering it reasonably useless.

Can anyone recommend a repaire service? I emailed Humax but no reply. I'm in Bristol.

Thanks.

Are you sure one tuner is in fact faulty ?

What did you do to check ?

You could try andyfras over on the Toppy forums who specialises in repairing Topfields but is always up for a new challenge.

The tuner is on a seperate small board.
I happen to have a bricked HDR (Loader overwrittem).

Do you want the tuner board for £25? If so P.M. me.

Anyone want the power supply board?

Switched on the box. Noticed that input one showing zero signal strength input two full strength. Swap over dish cables, input one still zero input two still full strength. Did a factory reset and box cannot detect signal, swap inputs over and still cannot detect signal.

From this I conclude something wrong with tuner 1.

Suggestions gratefully received.

Many thanks. Just fitted the board (didn't realise I would need to remove the disk and complete mother board to fit) and everything is now working.
