Only found out about this today but see no thread on it. I'm skeptical though. I'm a big BIG fan of the first two games but this one has got me worried.

Firstly, Hamill as already said that he is done with The Joker but this game involves The Joker... he is The Joker's voice!!

Secondly, it's a prequel. The best thing about the other games is not knowing where the story is going, now being a prequel you know who is gonna live and die so surely that is a lot of the tension gone. Plus I want to see the characters after City not before. The whole thing with Hush is still unresolved.

Third. The inclusion of Superman and Wonder Woman (possibly among others). Like the Nolan films I've always felt this should be purely Batman. Introducing Superman and others it always leaves me asking "well where are they" whenever Batman is in a very bad situation. Could work though.

And fourth and probably my biggest worry. It has already been announced for 2013 release, but we are already 3 months in to 2013... A great thing about the last games was the care taken by the team behind it. The first teaser for example was released almost a year in advance. Obviously they may have been working on it for a while and announced it recently but still I'm kind of worried.

Am I being to cynical or does anyone else share the same concerns?

I don't think you're being cynical because I've got similar worries. I think mARKHAMill (sorry had to point that out) will be in it because he says every year how he's not doing anymore but still does. I'm hoping that the other heroes cameos are only cameos like Robin in arkham city. That wouldnt be too bad. Finally it is being made by a different studio so they may have been working on it for over a year yet so I'd say wait til we hear more info on it before having real worries about it.

Well they've been working on it since they finished with City, you can be sure of that. We might only be hearing about it now but that far from means they haven't been working on it long.

I'm looking forward to it. The previous two are amazing games so I have high hopes for this one too

The mere mention that superman is in it and the fact the first two games where fantastic has me hyped for this

Here's hoping they shoehorn in a superman section, a little better than the catwoman section (which i liked but others didn't) and if they superman section proves popular they can get to work on a decent superman game

Superman in a Batman game, won't his powers put Batman's utility belt in the shade somewhat? Superman could do anything faster and better than Batman I just don't think the 2 would work well together.

Weird combination if you ask me, but hey, if they make it into a great game then I won't complain.

All they need to do is have a large supply of Kryptonite somewhere in Gotham that prevents superman from using his full abilities or just set it during an eclipse (some other way to block out the sun) so that superman can't get his abilities from the sun, problem solved

Hmm I'm not totally convinced, a disabled superman sounds a little boring. I think if superman gets his own section of the game where he rescues Batman from certain doom, then that could be something, but I don't think an entire game with the 2 working together would work to well imo.

But I ain't a game designer so I guess we'll just have to see how they work it.

I really enjoyed Batman AA but was really let down by AC, it just felt like a sequel for the sake of putting out a sequel, hopefully they can return to form with the new game.
