A couple of days ago watched an episode of Corrie and wanted to watch another but all I got was

Have tried many times to use iplayer but to no avail. Always getting an error message with different reference numbers.
Tried emailing ITV through their contact us but this did not work as could not even get to the home page for iplayer.

What has happened - was something deleted / touched by accident ? Would be grateful for help in being able to use the iplayer as have done so till now.

Which platform are you using? Computer browser, smart TV, something else?

If on a computer browser, try clearing the cache, or using another browser, or even a browser on a different user account or computer. Then get back to us here.

OMG - will try answer as best as I can.

I use an Apple computer - Safari. I cleared the browsing history but to no avail.

I was able to use catch up on UTV player so got my "fix" of the soaps but just cannot understand what happened to ITV Player.

Hope you can help as am sure it is something simple but just do now know what to do.

I know this does not solve your problem, but try using STV Iplayer (you have to put in a scottish postcode - just google some glasgow companies and you will soon find a valid postcode).

It does not have the same depth as ITV Player, but generally has all the main shows e.g. dramas such as Lewis, Foyle's War etc, plus all the main soaps.

Where it wins hands down over ITV Player is they don't have all the annoying adverts - even those in mid-stream are cut out.

e.g. episode of Coronation Street takes about 20-22 mins instead of 30 mins.

It's a little gem compared with it's big brother.

What about when you try ITV using Firefox on your Apple computer?
