TBF it doesn't say it's not anniversary related just that the news is bigger than today's anniversary news

Matt Smith isn't leaving and they renew it one year at a time. Probably the last one, there was a rumour about them findingsome a while back.

I wonder if someone is going to appear at the end of tonight's episode??

There is a rumour that McGann and the actors playing the 1st and 2nd doctors in the documentary are going to appear during the new series

It was supposed to be today and revealed by the BBC, whether its delayed because the of the David Tennant/Billie Piper announcement remains to be seen.

If the news is the return of a missing serial, I do hope it's something MAJOR and not The Macra Terror. All returns are obviously more than welcome but with this hype I'm hoping for something Power-like.

I think they're probably saving up announcements, so they can do one each Saturday to drive traffic for that week's episode. This would explain why they only announced a tiny amount of people returning today!

With how popular it's getting in America and Australia I very much doubt it's that.

Im thinking its Classic Series related, either lost episodes discovered or new stories being made featuring the old doctors (well i can hope)

Wrong and wrong. You don't know me and don't know know my feelings about missing episodes. I wish there were no missing episodes, but I want big news about new episodes, like today's accidental announcement.

My dream announcement would be week commencing 18th November there would be an episode every night celebrating the last 50 years with amazing stories including all the old Doctors and some of the most popular companions, climaxing with an amazing episode on 23rd November setting up the next series.
