They expected that news to not leak till thursday......ruddy hell they were optimistic considering even if the DWM thing hadnt happened we would have all pretty much known within minutes of him turning up on set

Since they're quickly running out of light for filming today, should we presume no new developments are to be had for a while?

Didn't start til about two, did it? Might be a night shoot, and they've just been doing rehearsals in the day? Cos if they were desperate for light, I'd have thought they'd have arrived at the crack of dawn.

I don't claim any real knowledge, here. I'm not even certain it started at two - that might just happen to be when I caught the set report. I'm just guessing!

Oh, I know, but it's true what you say that they would have started extremely early if they planned a daylight shoot.

Although the presence of a Zygon on set in full make up would make less sense. Unless it isn't makeup and...things have gone badly.

Maybe we've misunderstood? "'Doctor Who' 50th special to feature classic monsters the Zygons" could equally mean that they were unable to get the real David Tennant, etc, so they've hired Zygons to play the part of the Tenth Doctor, etc. Then you could shoot for 24 hours a day by cycling in different actors.

I'd happily trade the other 9 Doctors for one Donna Noble.

That would mean kidnapping all the actors and locking them away in a room...

Of course its missing episodes but hes probably been told to deny their existance.

after all these years of rumours and hoaxs,i wont belive anything unless its officially announced.i read paul vanezis's comments and i dont get the immpression he's deliberatly lying.i hope its missing episodes(dalek masterplan please)but at the moment i am sceptical.

if it is missing eps(and its a big if)i hope it isnt marco polo.much rather have a sci fi story rather than an historical.i remember in the late 90s when an episode was found.it was a touch exciting untill discovering that it was an episode of the crusade.that was a real dissapointment,especially when i eventually saw it.

well the only news i have heard since the 30th was that woman from gavin and stacey is in the show, which to me makes no difference at all.

The BBC have confirmed that Classic Series villain, The Zygons, are returning to Doctor Who for the show’s 50th Anniversary Special.

Aside from flashbacks these malevolent shape-shifters have only appeared once before, threatening Earth in the Fourth Doctor adventure, Terror of the Zygons.

Despite the fact that their solitary outing was over thirty years ago they remain a popular old enemy and in the 2010 episode, The Pandorica Opens, they were amongst the massed aliens said to be gathering above Stonehenge.

Later, in The Power of Three, we learnt that Zygons had one of their ships under the Savoy Hotel in 1890 and apparently replaced half the staff with imposters! But this time they really are back…
