What about a Felix. Or Rory. Classic but not traditional?
Every time I hear Felix, I think of the cat.

It's official.......George Alexander Louis.

George? Very dull (no offence to the Georges out there) It's an old man's name and doesn't suit a boy or a young man

Suits a girl better........ah well.

Yeah I agree, but we kind of knew it was going to be dull

I couldn't really understand the enamour with this name either. I didn't think they would actually go with it.

From a Royal perspective, however, it'll be seen as a good, solid name.

I quite like Alexander though. It's traditional, but sounds pretty contemporary at any age.

So pleased about the 'Louis' but oh dear, I had hoped for a spark of originality.

A bit staid

I would have chosen Alexander as his first name - traditional but modern. But we get another safe choice of name from the Royals- again no offence to anyone called George

I knew it would be George! I also suspected Louis would get in there somewhere, since it's quite popular, continental yet still royal.

Nothing wrong with the name, it's solid and traditional. It's also one of the most popular names for boys at the moment.

who is calling their child George in this age? I don't think its popular at all.

Traditional or not this up there with Henry, Ethel, Gertrude, Ruth, Maeve, Alfie and Sarah in horrible. No offence to anyone with those names.

Alexander is a cute name tho.

I think its a perfect name for the new little prince. George isn't a dull name. What about George Michael. He's never been dull in his life.
The baby was always going to have a traditional name. I mean he could have hardly been called Wayne, Cayden, Clint, Blair, or something along these lines now could he?
George Alexander Louis absolutely gorgeous name.

Was always going to be George wasn't it. I like it. Simple yet quite classical. I'm glad they didn't go for anything too outlandish.

This annoys me so much opening threads in the Showbusiness section about Royalty

They are not Showbusiness

Threads about Royalty should be in General Discussion.

Just needed to get that off my chest - rant over

I didn't want 'outlandish' as it's not fair on the boy, but some originality would have been so refreshing and this, I thought, was a perfect opportunity for a name to be chosen not from the pool of the usual dozen or so. Oh well, to quote another Louis, "It is what it is."
