Hi,

I used to have a cable box in the bedroom but I've had it removed to keep the monthly bills down.
Thing is that I'm really missing the ability to watch catch-up tv.
I don't want to shell out for a new tv with it built in.

So any recommendations for a media streamer box to connect via wifi to my tv via HDMI?

I don't want a Xbox/ps3/YouView box - would like to watch BBC iPlayer/itv player/4od/5 OnDemand. Looking to spend around £100

Thanks for your help.

If you are after all of the UK catch up services and willing to spend up to £100 I would recommend you buy a Samsung product which includes their 'Smart Hub' that has apps for BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD, Demand 5, Netflix, Lovefilm Instant, YouTube.

It comes built in to most of their current TVs and Blu-Ray players such as this one

Re Samsung box

Seems there might be some issues - not sure they affect the unit you linked to or not LINK

I've had the mk809 ll for a few months mainly to watch hd movies I've downloaded and it works well on my 50 inch plasma. It will play movies etc from the web specially from the android app Movie tube (free)better to get the older version of Youtube for full screen capabilities. It will also play games from the play store. And the free catchup tv from the play storeAll in all well worth the money...
