Lost all my self-created playlists in itunes on my laptop. Bizarrely though, all the playlists are still on my iphone, just not in itunes on my laptop.

Don't know if it's relevant or not but i've just upgraded to iphone 5 in the last week or so and it's during this last week that i've discovered the lost playlists problem.

I think i had the same problem a few months ago, don't know how i sorted it or how i created the problem in the first place, just like i'm clueless now.

Also, there are certain tracks that are "checked" in my itunes but they've been "lost" from my phone library. Not the first time that's happened either.

Any suggestions on how to sort this please?

... if the playlists are still on your phone you can get them back in iTunes, just by syncing your device. worked for me

I've already tried syncing my new iphone 5 with my itunes but still my playlists are missing from my laptop itunes but yet they remain on my iphone.

The only playlists that are in my itunes on laptop are the standard ones like most played , purchased, recently added etc etc . All the ones i've created myself over time have recently vanished

Completely confused by it!
