Anyone heard of this brand of headphones? I came across it, and googled it. Apparently, Monster Cable, who have a history of suing, took legal action against FW in 2010 for copying their Beats 'phones. FW is referred to as the 'purveyor of fine knockoff headphones'. They do look similar but I, for one, certainly would not mistake one for the other. The Beats 'phones has the distinctive 'b' on the ear surrounds. FW does claim, however, that the same engineer is involved in making them.
Can't find anything on why the company is called FW.

Sounds like 2 drunk designers had a bet about creating the daftest sounding headphones they could come up and somehow their joke turned into a profitable business!

I mean seriously, who would want something that is slang for frontal bottom and knob on their head?

They are a fashion brand boosted by the trend to wear large headphones in Mp3 players and phones. They are fairly large in the US, but massive in China (Although the company originated and is based in California). They were called Fanny Wang simply to get noticed (it worked).
My daughter has a set of very, very red ones that she loves and they are very now, apparently. Having listened to them and not being an audiophile, I would put them on the good side of average and would consider that they are perfectly fine for what they are intended.
Very much for younger people though. I can't imagine walking around with bright red Fanny Wangs on my head at my age. Indeed, could I ever have done it!!??? I doubt they get anywhere near the demographics of this forum either!

This reminds me of the speakers on the disco system when I was at school.

The nameplate read "Heapacrap"

Honestly, it did.
