I have an Orange Nokia 6100 and every so often the message "accessory not supported" pops up. Nothing is connected to it and whilst also being annoying, its starting to wear my battery down a lot quicker.

Anyone know the problem with my phone?!

If your phone is in dfault mode, showing the wallpaper then *#0000# should give the sw version.

I'm wondering if the contacts are being shorted so it thinks something is plugged in but can't figure out what.

anyway a software upgrade is always a good start. but if it's underwarranty then just replace it.
