Network question...

Hi,
I have a Fresh sim card that I have used for ages and been fine with as I am a very light user. A mate has just sold their Motorola V50 to me for £10 (without sim!) and I have put mine in and can make calls etc very happily. However instead of displaying Fresh as my network it says one2one.

Is this the same network - if it is why does it not say Fresh.

If it isn't do I need to unblock the phone or indeed worry about it not saying the network I expect.

This is probably a very dumb noob question but ah well!

Cheers,
RRLiam

The names of networks etc.... are usually stored on the phone.

Fresh aren't a network in their own right, they piggyback onto T-Mobile, who were previously one2one, and that is why it says one2one, because you are technically connected to their network.

yeh dont worry you are on one2one network (T-Mobile) as they use T-Mobile formerley one2one

I don't even think you can get a logo to change it either its annoying that I used to have displayed on my phone when i put a Virgin sim card in it 'T-Mobile UK'

Many thanks for the advice - I was slightly worried that I would be paying more for piggybacking onto another network. Much appreciated..
