I must admit that not liking hm's has never been an issue with me.

I didn't like Maxwell or Saskia, but i liked watching them
I loathed Derek, but i found him fascinating.
Craig drove me up the wall, but i found him compulsive viewing.
With the BB9 crew, there were loads i couldn't stand, but they all just bored me to tears as well, and that's the massive and crucial difference.

Nicole had a big effect on the series and, looking back, there were a lot of HMs worse than her. Much of her unpopularity at the time was for reasons that no longer seem so significant.

Apart from being spoilt and being moody, (the latter I think was because of the rumours that Rex had cheated on her, and she couldn't question him about it in the house because it was information from the outside world), she wasn't really THAT bad.

Also, with Nicole, by the time she entered, most of The WC had left, with only Dale and Stuart left. I think her negative aspects were magnified because she seemed like the least likeable one in the house at that time, but when put up against housemates who left before her, she doesn't seem as bad. I still personally liked her more than Dale and Stuart, though.

Actually, I have a memory of her that does make her seem bratty, but I find it rather funny. When Michael was cooking sausages and asked for help, Nicole replied "I'm having my hair done!". Michael's "Oooooh" was great too.

But, yeah, the fact that she got treated worse than the likes of Luke, Rebecca and Dale irritated me.

Yep agree with above 3 posts - she wasn't that bad really and as soon as she came out of the house she seemed a completely different person, very pleasant and good-natured. The Nicole/Rex dynamic seemed totally grim. I don't think she actually applied to go in either, didn't they just recruit her at a day's notice after the line-up task, or had she applied previously and not got in?

I'm perfectly aware of that. I read your list.

I didn't mean to suggest that everyone should have Alexandra below Darnell. The thread after all asks people to list their favourite to least favourite housemate and therefore if you preferred Alexandra to Darnell as a housemate then of course you should have her above him.

I was referring to my own list, not to anyone else's.

That was much tighter at the top than I thought it would be. I expected Rachel to win much more easily, but Rex really ran her close. A very good showing from Sara as well.
