Since the 2nd April when I look in media and at a recorded programs any BBC1 HD recording shows as Ch 108. All other channels are displayed correctly.

I was on Custom Firmware 4.1.0 and reloaded the current Firmware from Humax, this did not resolve the issue. I have since loaded Custom Firmware 4.1.1 with the time patch and it is still the same. I have reloaded the EPG using the Guide key.

Any thoughts on what the cause of this is, I suspect I have a corruption in a file but not which one?

Dan.

Try a freesat tune.

I changed the postcode and preformed a freesat tune; it did not resolve the issue. On further checking I have this issue with all BBC channels.

Also notice the ENC flag has now gone on new recordings, is this a new feature of the custom firmware? I see no mention in the readme.

Have you installed nowster's settop patch?
What signal levels do you have on channel 407?

I used this method I found on another forum.
"opkg install http://www.nowster.org.uk/humax/settop-patch_4.0.9utc_mips.opk"

telnet to HDR

I select 407 and then using the diagnostic screen it reports
Strength 85 Quality 80

Update:-

I deleted .DO_NOT_DELETE_THIS_FILE and then re flashed using Humax Firmware v1.00.21. followed by a channel scan. The issue still exists with BBC Channels only.

Any thoughts? I've had this HDD for four years, wondering if the HDD is starting to fail.

Why not try running disk-fix?

IIRC my Foxsat HDR started doing this when I had the default audio language temporarily set to Welsh - worth checking the menus to see. I assume the box was looking for a localised channel name, didn't find one, and the fallback was to use the channel number. (It only affected recordings, not the other channel displays as far as I remember.)

@mjr
My symptoms are just as you described. I've checked the language setting and it was set to Welsh. Not sure how it got changed usually watch Rugby on S4C on my Panasonic. Must have had an 'old man moment'

Thank you and REPASSAC for your help.
