TV West, Oomerop Freyslan, Utrech and Noord Holland MUXes blasting in all day today. Hopefully with more good weather forecast for tomorrow we will get more visitors from the continent.

Happy DX

Such are the vagaries of RF propogation...... we had another very hot day here on the Lincs coast, and TV West (CH52) Mux was operable until early evening, Noord Holland Mux (CH39) is still here, but not a peep out of any of the other Dutch Muxes.

Hopefully the decent weather will return soon and bring something a bit more exotic.

Happy DX

This might be the last lift for a while.

The atmospherics have been good here all day, Dutch radio on the FM band,

This extends to TV as well. Strong signal strength on Utrecht, West and Noord Holland Muxes this evening. And for the first time this year I have the TV Rijnmond Mux (Ch 21) coming in strongly.

Is anyone else getting anything in this lift?

Yes but I haven't checked the TV. I now have an indoor roof aerial so doubt I'll get anything on that. I've recently received DAB muxes from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Plus plenty of continental 2m and 70cm activity. Is your aerial still vertical?

Yes it is. I have another horizontally polarised aerial but that is not pointing out to sea. However that aerial connects to an old Panasonic set, which I hadn't realised until recently has a bit if a crumby tuner. It'll probably need replacing soon and it'll interesting to see what a more sensitive tuner might pull in.

With a horizontal facing the sea you'd definitely get some German and Scandinavian dx.

Good catch! Interesting to see that Russia is still hanging onto Band I for TV, I wonder how long that will continue for?

I think Moldova and Ukraine to switch off analogue sometime in 2017 with Russia following in 2018 or possibly 2019.

I had the TV West MUX active this evening. Nothing from any of the other Dutch Muxes for a while.

Hi

Lovely warm, settled weather = TV from Holland

Utrecht, Noord Holland, Fryslan, and West Muxes all active this afternoon/evening with strong signals (most strong on Noord Holland CH 39). The FM radio band is also active with French and Dutch radio stations. I'd say it is medium strength lift.

Hope some of you are benefiting too.

Happy DX

Jon.

The nice weather that the east coast is experiencing, is pulling in a 'lift' towards Holland. West and Utrecht Muxes blasting in and the Noord-Holland Mux is also active at lower power.

Only domestic UK lift going on here, but getting massive signal from Rowridge 130 miles away in Swansea on my Wenvoe/Mendip facing aerial - full signal strength/quality on the TV's indicator. MUX 7/8 Rowridge have wiped out MUX7/8 Wenvoe - I've had to retune to Mendip for Talking Pictures!

It seems that the lift going on for the radio buffs, either didn't materialise at UHF or didn't make it up to Lincolnshire. I didn't get anything on FM or UHF yesterday. Congrats to those who did though.

3 Dutch Muxes active at lunchtime today (Noord Holland, West and Utrecht). FM was full of Dutch radio too.

I thought that the FM forums would be lit up with catches, but as they weren't I'm starting to think that the high pressure is only coming in as a local lift.

Happy DX
