I am a very happy bunny!

I was worried that the move to CH39 on Talconeston was going to screw up any chances of getting Dutch TV from today onwards. However I am delighted to report that Dutch TV is steaming in here, on CH39 (Nord Holland Mux) this evening.

Also CH52 (West Mux) as well as CH50 (Utrecht Mux) are coming in strongly. The comercial (encrypted Muxes) are all active too.

Is anyone else getting anything?
Hi Jon,

I'm getting "This channel is scrambled or not available" on my Humax F2-FOX-T, which means there is almost enough signal on UHF 39 to produce a picture from the Dutch multiplex (not Tacolneston).

Hi Chris

There is something on Ch25 that is causing the ITV Mux on Belmont to break up. So I think there is more activity in the lower part of the band. Keep an eye out.

Best regards

Jon

Hello again Jon,

Your Dutch reception is much stronger than mine (being as you're right on the east coast).
I went out to radio club, leaving the Humax on Nederland 1 (UHF 39). If the EPG fills up at any time I know that signals have been strong enough to produce a picture. This didn't happen while I was out.
I'm still seeing "The channel is scrambled or not available" message, so my signal is almost there. I'll leave the Humax on overnight to see if the signal becomes strong enough to load the EPG.

Other channels that show on the signal and quality meters are UHF 32 and UHF 35. Still too weak to produce a picture though.

Hi Chris

CH39 is active now (and has been all day). The signal on CH32 (Fryslan MUX) is there but breaking up. CH 52 (West MUX) is blasting in (same strength as CH39). CH 50 (Utrecht MUX) is about 20% less signal but still powering in. Apart from the Fyslan MUX all are given an unbroken signal.

I noticed that Digiteen Info (which was stored last year) has become Investigation Discovery.

According to Hepburns DX predictions there are no lifts at the moment (Sunday is supposed to be better).

Are you and I the only people getting anything at all?

Best regards

Jon

Hi Jon,

It looks like you are the only person who can actually see any pictures.
Last night (Thursday) the Dutch PSB MUX on UHF 39 must have been capable of showing pictures, because the programme names were showing on the EPG this morning. I just didn't see the pictures when it happened overnight.

Your reception is always going to be better than mine, as your aerial (being on the East coast) "looks" straight out to sea, whereas the Dutch signals have to go through the Lincolnshire Wolds to reach me.

Cheers,

Chris.

Hello

I thought that I might have some Dutch DX activity today - Na da. However, CH39 MUX has just started to appear this evening. It is a bit broken up at the moment, but here is hoping that the signals will continue.

Hopefully those of you near the East coast may get something too - let us know if you do.

Jon.

Afternoon all

The Dutch MUXes are active now (and have been all day). Signals are coming in on the public service MUX on CH39 (Nord Holland Mux), and the Fryslan Mux (CH 32). No activity yet on the Utrecht Mux (CH 50) and the West MUX (CH 52).

So activity seem to be favouring the bottom of the band.

Happy DXing.

Hi Jon,

Sadly, no sign of any Dutch MUXs here, at all. Look like it's all happening where you are.

Cheers,

Chris, Lincoln UK.

Hello

I couldn't find the old TVDX thread on here, so in the hope that winter goes soon and we start to get some high pressure lifts, I have started a new one.

I don't know if people are aware of this but it seems that the Dutch terrestrial services NED 1/2/3 are going to be renamed NPO 1/2/3. Thought that I would mention it in case someone starts to see new entries on their EPGs

http://publiekeomroep.nl/a4326

Let us all know if you have some DX to report.

Best regards

Jon
It would be helpful when filing a report of DX reception to give your location, ie nearest town.
I was picking up French digital TV last year every day. Mind you my location was Brittany!

Hello

CH39 (Noord Holland MUX), Fryslan MUX CH32 and West MUX CH52 are all active this evening. With CH 39 channels coming in at the same strength as the local power house transmitter (Belmont), here on the East Lincs coast.

Hopefully some of you are getting this too.

Jon.

Checked all Dutch MUXs. Nothing received here in Lincoln.

Great pictures. Apparently Belarus is switching off analogue at the end of this year.

Yes, it's a great shame. Most countries have already switched off Band 1 analogue TXs and gone to UHF digital transmissions.
I'm making the most of what's left

Stunning pictures there Chris, well done.
I just spoke to TF2CL (West Iceland) on 50.140MHz via 6 Metre SP-E. I also can hear OX3KQ (Greenland) on 50.121MHz, but he didn't answer my call.

Iceland E4 (62.25MHz) video and (67.75MHz) audio were here, but have just faded away. It sounded like a German language film, with Icelandic subtitles.

All Dutch transmitters and all MUXes are coming in loud and clear on the Lincolnshire coast this evening. I suspect with the predicted good weather that they'll be around for several days.

Happy DXing

Hi Jon what's the situation like now? Anything coming in from Germany or Denmark? Hepburn is showing a good lift from these areas. I had a weak signal on channel 37 this morning which I'm guessing maybe from Germany.

Nothing of interest is being received here in Lincoln on either radio or TV. No Netherlands or Germany on TV. Only slightly enhanced Band II FM Lille and London stations are making it to my location.

I just spoke to John (Skywaves) at Skegness.
On FM band II he's getting tropo from Northern Spain and Norway, but nothing received here.
My aerials are fixed. The external horizontal 3 element antenna faces South-South-East to Lille. The loft mounted vertical 7 element faces South-East to Netherlands & Belgium. So reception from Norway or Denmark would be a struggle, to say the least.

73s,

Chris (2E0NDT).

It's starting to build here Chris. Einslive is at one bar above the noise and some new German frequencies are starting to appear. Nothing tv wise. If John is receiving Norway FM then just maybe something Scandanavian will come through during the next few days.

Lots of weak continental signals but nothing coming in. I think Norkring on CH 40 must have ceased broadcasting as I never receive this anymore.

It could be because the BBC A MUX at Kings Lynn (vertical) has changed to CH 40 (from CH 49). This may be blocking your reception of Belgium. Remember, you don't get co-channel with digital, it's either all or nothing.

I've just checked, there's no Dutch, German or Belgian TV being received here in Lincoln.

Cheers for now,

Chris.
