As I said I think a lot of voters who felt that past Labour leaderships were insufficiently apologetic over Iraq will now feel safe to return to Labour. Mr Corbyn need not even do anything - his past credentials are sufficient.

Re tuition fees I think that a lot of people will come to realise that social mobility has actually stopped under the Conservatives. No one but the rich can afford university anymore, and despite the rhetoric about 'apprenticeships', the fact remains that a university education is statistically the surest way of improving one's lot in life.

I think he will get a lot of young people to vote and he will get some people back from UKIP (lots of Labour votes went to UKIP because of the Farage not being like the typical party leader) and will get people back from the Greens and SNP. Personally, I think he is more likely to become PM than Andy Burnham who's polices are similar to Ed's.

He is not going to get many UKIP when the find out he has a total open door to Europe.
Young people just don't bother voting & the SNP votes back are wishful thinking . He will not do any better than Ed & then you lot on here will be doing your normal it's the Tory press line .

Actually the facts are that 3% more people in England, were accepted into University this year (compared to last year).

Obviously the higher tuition fees are putting people off

The left continue to delude themselves that Corbyn will be an electoral asset. Yes, yes of course he will.

Yeah as an alternative to a 1980's greedy pig sticking Bullingdon bully who robs the poor to give to the rich.

I'm fascinated to see how far JeCo is going to back-pedal on his various "policies" (I use the term loosely) before the party decide this particular experiment is over and kick him back into obscurity where the silly old duffer belongs.

Ah, so that is the reason why the Government are giving £80m to help those now looking for work. They must be very rich to receive this help.

Is there a party Lord 'Adonis' hasn't joined? He has been a member of the SDP, Libs, and Labour. Are we sure he is in it for the politics?

As opposed to that well-known electoral asset, George Osborne ?

Well no-one is stupid enough to buy the Tory rhetoric over 'apprenticeships', if that is what you meant. How much will you bet that the scions of cabinet members will not be doing one?

The fact remains that young graduates are saddled with crippling repayments the minute they earn a decent amount. Making work pay eh.

I think you'll find he towered over Ed Balls in every opinion poll leading up to the General Election. An election the Conservatives won, can't remember what happened to Balls ?

I think Labour will be more likely to win if Gideon is the leader of the Tories.

Ed Balls is no longer in the party so that doesn't matter.

Mrs Balls also lost in the Leadership Contest. Probably being advised by her husband
