That should stump Ed.

He has appeared on the programme before.

Why not ring up and say "how wonderful" he would be as Leader when they ditch the present incumbent. Then we will know it won't be stooge calls

As Iain tirelessly points out on Chitchat, he gives plenty of airtime to Opposition politicians. Hattie Harman has her own phone-in spot and Chuku Amuna is hardly ever out of the studio.

I'm worried about Ed (Miliband). He looks distinctly jaundiced.
Is it my my new HD television screen or is he ill?

harperson is hardly representative of anything lefty . and chuka only represents himself.

LBC is undeniably a right-wing enterprise, with unthinking, knee-jerk populist conservatism as its default position. Yes, so-called left-wingers are offered a mouthpiece, but it's always from the perspective of "justify your position". They are dragged in as objects of derision and ridicule.

For example, the Ken and David show is run by David, with Ken as the hapless also-ran.

Ah, the standard 'they may say they're Labour but they're really not so it doesn't count' response. Harman is deputy leader, Umuna is the up and coming maybe next Leader one day, Balls is Shadow Chancellor. Milliband refuses to come on LBC, so there aren't many high up Labour people who don't come on. Many lesser ones do, especially London MPs, and as I can't listen during the day there my be many others. Steve Pound, David Lammy, Rachel Reeves, Seema Malhotra, Sadiq Khan...they're the ones who come to mind straight away, and Iain Dale in particular has a large variety of MPs of all parties on when I hear him.
But if they're not really left wing or 'real' Labour, maybe they've decided not being so lefty (at least in the open) is an easier and maybe better way to get elected? Besides from the outside they look and sound extremely lefty at times, so it may all depend whether you want really lefty or sanitised new age lefty...or whatever.

Still voted for by hundreds of thousands of Labour supporters
Who would you prefer if you don't like the current Labour hierarchy?

Emily Thornberry resigns. Even amongst the sneering millionaires on the Labour front bench, this creature stood out as particularly obnoxious.

Good riddance.

Presumably she waited until the polls closed in Rochester to make her announcement.

At least she can now relax in her £3m house.

voting is tribal.

theres no one that i can think of in any political party . i would say though the current neocon cabal that has taken over uk politics from with ukip - libdems - tory - labour need to be excised from uk politics. they are the prime reason for our move to the far right and demise as a cohesive nation.

What's a 'neocon canal'? Is it one of those little Italian cars or something to do with The Matrix?

its something to do with how british politics has been in the control of a few like minded neoliberal prozionist individuals (neocons) across all political groups for the last 14 years or so, is why the politics is so similar, across any party you might choose.

Do you not think that this theory smacks of 1930's Germany 'Jewish/Zionist/Bolshevik' paranoia?

Wise words for anyone, but I've been paying very close attention for a very long time.

Interesting to hear the Ferris compilation programme and hearing Farage hasn't ruled out a coalition with whatever party to get into power. I see him propping up the Tories rather as the ghastly LibDems did last time. Hopefully this will result in UKIP being wiped out. But how much damage before then?
