Anyone played this yet? I haven't got a 3DS and its absolutely killing me because the first Luigis Mansion is one of my favourite games for the gamecube. Genuinely considering selling my girlfriend on ebay or something so I can afford to get one

Don't understand why they made a sequel to the brilliant Gamecube title and make it a bloody hand held game. Should have made a proper sequel for the WiiU i can't stand playing on handheld consoles.

This is a proper sequel and fits perfect on the 3DS.

i like the way Nintendo have treated the 3DS as a proper console with games like this. Now for them to sort out the Wii U software.

A budget price re-release/HD release of the original would be nice for the WiiU, i never had the change to play it during the brief period i owned a Gamecube, so the chance to see for myself why the game is held in such a high regard would be nice

I agree, I would have liked some sort of Luigi's mansion 2 calibation with Wii U. It would have worked well.

My mate has it sealed which is crazy I don't think I could leave it in the original factory seal even though I've already beat it. Great game!!

Because I came second (out of 8 people ) in a Northern Ireland Mario Kart 7 tournament, Nintendo are sending me copies of a number of games for free, this being one of them.

I started playing it and it seems pretty good so far, but I'm off on study leave for my AS levels now, so I think I'll wait until after my exams to finish it.

The original Luigi's Mansion was intended to be a 3D game, but the idea was scrapped due to the difficulties involved. It's sequel is on the 3DS because it can finally allow the game to be in 3D.

It took Nintendo over a year to start finally releasing decent games on the 3DS. Initially, we had essentially no decent games until 3D Land and MK7 were released at the end of 2011, but now there is a whole load of new games set for release: Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, Animal Crossing, Yoshi's Island 3 and many other games I'm not much of a fan of, but many others are.
Let's hope NIntendo are doing the same with the WiiU so within a year we'll start getting loads of brilliant games.

I keep getting stuck but the way forward is always staring me in the face ! Lol

On the second level now, the water tower place. Enjoyed the boss fight at the end of the first level, its nice to use the old grey matter a little during a boss fight to defeat him, not to taxing tho, but just enough to make me think for a minute or two.

Gotta say this game has turned out to be rather brilliant, very unexpected!

I died toward the end of a level, I spent a lot of the time exploring and collecting during that level, I then had to do it all again! Shock to the system, for somebody who is used to checkpoints every few feet in PS3/360 games it was very painful.

I have probably enjoyed this more than any other game on my 3DS but the difficulty spike towards the end has really soured my experience.
Either the last or next to last level has you clearing 8 rooms and then expects you to beat about 15 ghosts at one time in a game with no checkpoints!!!
I don't have the time to keep wasting 15/20 minutes trying it.
