my favorite episode is a special - The Waters of Mars

followed by series 2 The Impossible Planet/ The Satan Pit
& series 2 New Earth

Doomsday isnt a top episode for me, however, the dialogue between the daleks & cybermen was awesome and funny

My least favorite episodes S2 Love & Monsters and Fear Her

Also tho i like doctor who some episodes in series 6 move too fast for my family to follow so i have to keep explaining which is a bit annoying, so i feel that in some areas its being a bit too complex. what are your thoughts people?

I absolutely adore The Parting of the Ways. That episode is just perfection to me. From CE to the dialogue with the emperor, the kiss, the regeneration.

I'm not a fan of Day of the Moon. It was too disjointed for me. Love and Monsters wasn't one of my favourites either.

Waters of Mars is also one of my favourite episodes, as is The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit Oh, and The Parting of the Ways, which I still say is the best finale so far.

I've always felt that 42 is a very underrated episode.

Blink, Midnight, The Family of Blood, Silence in the Library and The Eleventh Hour seem to be almost universally loved. I too love all of them. The Waters of Mars is also one of my all-time favourites.

I thought Night Terrors was appalling - it's the only new series episode I truly detest. Though Fear Her, The Curse of the Black Spot and Planet of the Dead are also very poor IMO. The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe seems to be universally disliked, but I thought it was okay.

I agree with all of this.
But I do think The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe was quite uninspired, definitely Moffat's poorest work.

For me that title quite comfortably goes to The Wedding of River Song which, while not one of the worst episodes, was hugely disappointing as a finale.

My all time favourites include The Parting of the Ways, The Satan Pit, Gridlock, The Stolen Earth, Vincent and the Doctor, A Christmas Carol, The Doctor's Wife and Asylum of the Daleks.
The Parting of the Ways is everything an episode of Doctor Who should be...eerie in places, hair-raising in others. It had Daleks, a regeneration and some amazing special effects, as well as a good pay-off with a deux-ex-machina that worked (because it didn't undo the events of the story).

My least favourite episodes of all include The Long Game, Fear Her, The Lazarus Experiment, The Next Doctor, The Doctor's Daughter, The End of Time: Part 1, The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood, A Good Man Goes To War, The Doctor The Widow and the Wardrobe, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and The Power of Three.
TDTWATW and The End of Time: Part 1 are almost neck and neck for my least favourite episode ever.

Most underrated episodes - The Unquiet Dead, Tooth and Claw, The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, 42, Planet of the Ood, The Unicorn and the Wasp, Planet of the Dead, The Beast Below, The Curse of the Black Spot, The Girl Who Waited

Most overrated episodes* - The Girl in the Fireplace, Blink, Utopia, The Waters of Mars, The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, A Good Man Goes To War, The Snowmen

*By overrated it doesn't necessarily mean I don't like it myself

I don't understand the love for The Snowmen. As much as Matt and Jenna are very entertaining, the plot feels half-baked and the pacing is all over the place IMO.

I would lie if I said I wasn't disappointed with the plot and the resolution, but I would also lie if I said I didn't enjoy it immensely.

Half-baked, with a Sontaran for good measure too

Pacing, I quite enjoyed having the extra 15 minutes we're not afforded with the main episodes. But the episode was slightly too self-indulgent for my liking, and the snowmen of the title were underused (as were McKellen and Grant). It wasn't a bad episode as such, I just feel it's very over-rated, and a bit soso.

My favourite of all time is "Blink", my least favourite of all time is "The Twin Dilemma" (Colin Baker story) and my least favourite of New Who is "Fear Her" ... oh and for the record my favourite Classic Who story is "City Of Death" (Tom Baker story).

In another thread I was accused (with much justification) of being pompous and self important, so I've decided to be just as self important here and mention my favourite and least favourite episode(s) per series of New Who:-

Series 1
Favourite: The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances
Least favourite: Aliens Of London / WW3

Series 2
Favourite: The Girl In The Fireplace
Least favourite: Fear Her

Series 3
Favourite: Blink
Least favourite: The Daleks In Manhattan / Evolution Of The Daleks

Series 4
Favourite: Silence In The Library / Forest Of The Dead
Least favourite: Planet Of The Ood

Series 5
Favourite: The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang
Least favourite: Victory Of The Daleks

Series 6
Favourite: The Impossible Astronaut / Day Of The Moon
Least favourite: Night Terrors

Series 7 (so far)
Favourite: Asylum Of The Daleks
Least favourite: The Rings Of Akhaten

Specials
Favourite: The Snowmen
Least favourite: Planet Of The Dead

All Time Favourite Scene
The very beginning of The Big Bang, when the Pandorica opens in the museum and Amy's sat inside saying "Now this is where it gets complicated" had my jaw on the floor for the preceding credits.

In short, I've always been a fan of the two-parters (or any episode with a huge cliffhanger), so I'm quite annoyed that Moffat has stopped with those. I also feel that Series 2 of Nu-Who was the worst, which makes me worry about Doc 10 and Rose in the 50th, not saying I didn't like them, but I didn't like the episodes they did together that much.

Asylum of the Daleks was just crap. It was so over hyped made all this fuss about every era dalek and then they did nothing just appear in 1 scene.

I don't see why hype should have any bearing on the episode's actual quality. And if you're taking into consideration what people write on the internet before something airs, then surely you must have been blown away when JLC appeared throughout the episode without anybody knowing. I sure was.

Whilst an opinion is an opinion at the end of the day, I just don't see how anybody expected the Classic series Daleks to get more of an appearance than they got - most were on loan as it were, and most were likely too fragile for any intense filming. It was nice to see them in the background, and definitely added to the episode in my opinion. The appearance of Oswin was a surprise - I'd suspected a possible appearance akin to Rose appearing at the end of Partners in Crime. I didn't anticipate getting her as a major part of the plot, like we did.
