My sister is really upset because one of her cat's has been found dead unexpectedly. One of her neighbours has told her that its the 3rd cat in her area to die in suspicious circumstances. my sister said that one of her neighbours over the road has been threatening to poison the local cats, she said that people who own cats have also had plants die in their front gardens whilst those who don't haven't. Its really sad because her cats normally an indoor cat and so wouldn't really be bothering anyone and she doesn't have any idea how she got out in the first place. I've told her to contact the RSPCA butt I'm not sure they will even do anything never had any good experiences with them before.

It is important to find out what killed the cat by taking it to a vet for tests, I know that may not be possible now but if it ever happens again in the same area a vet needs to be used to find the cause of death. It is not uncommon for cat haters to put poison such as rat poison or slug pellets inside pieces of meat which tests will show up. If the cats have been poisoned then the police and animal welfare groups need to be informed. If any cat shows signs of being poisoned it must be taken to a vet right away as any delay can prove fatal.

My sisters already buried the cat but she said it had green foam around the mouth when it was found by her neighbours little girl, but it was already dead. She's going to write a letter and post it to all her neighbours warning them.

a letter is a good idea as well as information displayed in local shop windows etc warning other animal owners, if the cats were poisoned then so could dogs or any animal that comes into contact with poison including people.
So sorry to hear this. It's illegal to cause animals unnecessary suffering and this goes beyond RSPCA territory imo. Contact the police. It's not a waste of their time.

Antifreeze is easier - they like the taste.
My friend lost 2 cats along with another 2 in the street to malicious poisoning.
Yep. Antifreeze spilt accidently is deadly to cats. You can get antifreeze I believe nowadays, which is cat and dog friendly.

Just to let you know my sister has phoned the police now, hopefully they take an interest and sort it out before more cats are found dead.
You need to be very sure this is poisoning before accusing anyone or scaring other people. Green foam is common when a cat has a bowel obstruction or twisted gut both will kill just like poison but are no one else's fault.

I don't know the cat was fine the day before and that morning it was just a kitten too must be only about 7-9 months old, and for 2 other cats to die in suspicious circumstances on her street and with plants dying in cat owners gardens too (Which de-icer will do) with a neighbour threatening to poison the local cats, its all looking too suspicious.
