Hi,

I'm trying to remember the name of an American actor with white hair. He is/was quite old when still making movies.

It's not Henry Gibson but did look similar but with a gruffer voice
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002099/

Cheers

Is he definitely American?

I think Paul Scofield looks like the actor you linked to but he's British

Distinctive name?

Red Buttons?
Rip Torn?

Can you remember any type of film he was on, if we can at least get a film, we're halfway there.

Non of the names so far.

He might have played a judge or lawyer. I thought he might have been in a Columbo or Perry Mason episode.

I can see the face in my head and it is none of the names listed so far.

I thought I almost got it there.

Burgess Meredith - But I don't think it's him.

Try to think of someone inbetween the look of him and Henry Gibson. I think he was a bit smarted in appearance than Meredith.
Also similar looking to Ben Gazzara.

Really white hair though.

I think his name started with a M or W. I seem to remember it was pretty distinctive.
