What a season opener that was , I hope all the episodes in S3 are as good........ I haven't seen this season and have avoided spoilers at all costs. I can't wait to see how S3 develops. Loving the prison setting.

I have avoided pretty much all spoilers too, so are they staying in that prison? I hope not, I hated it in there with all those zombies in their protective clothing, *shudder*.

Anyway I'm glad it's back, and I'm so glad that they didn't pick up immediately after the farm escape, a decent amount of time has passed since then and they have obviously been though some tough times.

Lori is as unfortunately as annoying as ever, best thing would be for the baby to eat her alive. I did enjoy the little flirtation between Daryl and Carol, although I always thought she was more of a maternal figure for him, still I thought it was quite well done.

I am glad they finally gave T-dog something to do, he was embarrassingly underused last series, but poor Herschel, it isn't going to end well for him, shame.

I've seen Season 1 but missed Season 2, have decided to go straight into Season 3 anyway. Clearly I've missed a lot but still loved it, fantastic opener

You could cut the tension between them with a knife! Def think there's been some tough times between them since the end of the farm setting and now.

Funny to see 'grown up' Carl shooting zombies! He used to be such a whinging little brat!

Has there been much promotion of S3 on Five, as I wouldn't have even realised that it was starting if it hadn't been for the alert that I set up on Digiguide from when I was watching S2!

Just wanted to say 'Happy Viewing' to the C5 watchers........

I might dip in to your thread to see what you think as it progresses, but I probably won't post !

Great opening episode. Have been looking forward to S3 for ages, and it didn't disappoint!

And, holy crap! Poor Herschel - and his leg

S2 seems like such a long time ago, the only thing I wasn't clear on in the episode was why Lori was concerned about her unborn baby possibly being a walker?! Could someone enlighten me?

Everyone is infected, so anyone who dies will come back as a walker.

That was the big reveal at the end of series 2. Rick was told by that guy at the CDC, but kept the info to himself because he thought the guy was nuts, which he was. Anyway after he stabbed Shane, who came back as a walker after he died, the finally penny dropped and he was forced to reveal the truth to the others.

Thanks for reminding me I'd intended to watch the last ep of S2 when it was repeated earlier in the week, but missed it.

Thanks. Any chance of HD? Can this stream be recorded?
On Sky's Catch Up The Walking Dead is available in HD and it can be recorded.

Even programmes that are only broadcast in SD on 5US and 5* are available in HD. Justified being an example.

Did I miss an episode , the last ep of Season 2 Shane got stabbed and Rick and his son were being approached by a mass of walkers , I never saw any reveal ,if I have missed an ep where can I catch up ?

Yeah there was an episode after that."Beside the Dying Fire #13". It was just on Five* or US last week.
Unfortunately doesn't look like it's still on Demand and I'm not sure where you can watch it.

Anyway that's what happened. The farm was also overrun when the Walkers heard Carl shoot Shane when he turned, several minor characters were killed, they were separated from Andrea, and Lori pretty much turned on Rick when she heard that he had killed Shane.

That's more or less it. Shame you missed it.

Thanks . I saw a pretty good recap on youtube so am a bit more up to speed now , I can't imagine how I missed it . I watched all the episodes on Sky On Demand and thought that Shane being killed was the last episode of season 2

The Channel 5 website for The Walking Dead certainly shows that the first opportunity to see episode 2 will be on the 5* channel on Sunday 7 July at 22.00.

Channel 5 will be showing it on Tuesday 9 July at 00.00. My Humax PVR has noted that this is the next episode to record.

I don't know whether this is a permanent change or something to do with the screening of Big Brother (another horror show I understand?).
