Stevie M if you're reading this please bring back Romana for the 50th or even has a series regular. She doesn't have to be played by Lalla Ward but it would be a plus

If the Lady was a Madame would that make a difference?

Romana is either dead or timelocked, unfortunately. She will have been on Gallifrey when the Time War happened. And she was Lady President but appears to have been deposed (possibly executed?).

I like to think that she has possibly been brought back. I prefer to believe that the mysterious Time Lady in TEOT was Romana rather than the Doctor's mother.

Sorry to go OT, but that's something I always wished was answered.

Yes but probably not until the next era though.

I don't think that's likely to happen, unfortunately. Because it was so ambiguous, everyone has their own theory, and no matter what answer you give, you'd upset everyone else. Best to leave well alone.

If The Master survived so can Romana

She's already been brought back. That was her in "The End of Time".

Word of God says otherwise. It's his mother. Deal.

Dear Mr. Moffat...please do not bring characters just to appease a bunch of marks who are living in the past.

How? All he has to do is bring back the name Romana I don't care if it's not Lalla Ward

You're still living in the past. I'd rather the show do new things and The Doctor is more effective dramaticly without other time lords on a consistent basis.

Not to mention that, nostalgia goggles aside, Romana didnt contribute jack all to the show and was always pretty listless and boring, she doesnt get to shine until the audios.

It's not living in the past for wanting her to come back for the 50th anniversary which should be about the past

RTD wrote her in with the intention of making her his mother, but he purposely left any mention of her identity out of the script so as to allow future writers to elaborate on it in any way they wish, should they chose to do so.

If it's not been made explicit on screen then it's not set in stone.

Actually, Word of God says she was intended to be The Doctor's mother, but they left it open to interpretation.

For now (and perhaps forever), she's whoever the individual wants her to be. Well, within reason, I doubt she's Sally Sparrow.
