Leaving Sky but keeping number
I plan on moving house (fingers crossed) in a month or two but don't want to move my phone line across with sky but if I cancel is there any way I can keep my number until I sign up with BT which would be about 2 weeks after the move?
Thanks for any help provided |

If you are out of contract with sky best to change to BT before you move then you can move your services then. Only thing to be aware of is that not all numbers can be taken to different areas it is best to double check first with BT if your number would be able to be taken to your new house.

Thanks not a bad idea, it is within the same area code so I think I should be ok for keeping the number just didn't want to go through the hassle of changing it.

Some phone within area codes still need to be changed but BT will do their best to keep the number if possible. I think it depends on which exchange its connected to if its an original BT number if its an original sky number as long as it is the same dial code you should be fine.
