I was thinking which can be quite exhausting at times
Could The Doctor just use a reset button when there is a problem and if he did so could he possibly do so without realising?

Clara- What's this button do?( Clara points at button)
The Doctor- I don't know Clara, I've been pressing this button a long time, look(The Doctor presses button)
Clara- Have you noticed how it's all extra shiny for a moment and then it goes out, like the stars?
The Doctor- I never noticed that before Clara, maybe I will leave that button alone next time, pick a button Clara, a different one
Clara- So much choice, maybe if I shut my eyes for a moment, I can choose
The Doctor- Take your time Clara, we have all the time in the world

Why does his Frock Coat have button holes on each side but no Buttons?

is this in anyway connected to why there were no ducks in the duck pond....

Posh coats have separate double buttons - I've had to use a few for plays I've been in. It was something from a while back - a bit like having to use cuff links and studs to do up formal shirts. Chef jackets still use separate stud buttons.
