Apparently there is a Facebook campaign to get this to number one, so I checked iTunes, already number 30....

39. And this is sick. I know people didn't like her but she is dead. Makes my stomach turn how disgusting and disrespectful people can be. Sorry for the lecture btw  :

Yeh sorry its 39, I wasn't paying attention. If it got to number one she must have been a very hated woman. I'm too young to remember her policies but my parents never liked her.

It's up to 37. If this charts it would not only be an utter disgrace, but also a national embarrassment.

It's certainly tasteless... But not as tasteless as some of the stuff Thatcher and her government pulled.

Exactly why should there be any obligation for people to show her respect?

DDTWID getting to #1 at some point this year would be hilarious and appropriate.

Judy Garland. There loads of other versions of the song (and other Thatcher related songs) lower down the chart, but I can't see Klaus Nomi's version anywhere.

Judy Garland's version might miss out on top 40, but it looks pretty certain to be getting top 100 this week.

Haha! This is so bad taste but hilarious if Radio 1 had to play it in the charts - hope it hits top 40!

sorry but if you didnt live through 'her' era (as an adult) then tbh you have little say in the matter.

personally, i hated her, and im amused by this. i shed no tears, as she didnt for all the misery she created. this whole celeb culture worship, reality tv music shows, and blatantly manufactured music are just three things we have today that are as a direct result from that womans policies.

she showed no respect for everyone her policies detrimentally effected, why should we respect her for this?... good riddance.

Well said, I don't usually agree with you, but you are spot on.

Agreed. Yes, she was hated by many but at the end of the day there is a family grieving and such a sickening jab is heartless and wrong. What happened to taking the moral high ground? How is celebrating her death so publicly making her haters any better than what she actually was to them?

I think people don't understand or even witnessed the devastation her reign caused. Esp for pit communities which have never recovered. Her contempt for those people is too much for some to forgive.

Not saying I agree with it but I understand it.

Thatcher destroyed whole communities and changed the way of life of people forever. People have long memories.

So you are only entitled to have opinions on events which you have lived through?
So by your logic I can hold no opinion on any event prior to the late 80s?

I understand what that poster is saying. Harry Styles tweeted RIP Thatcher yesterday and then we had loads of 13 year old girls doing the same and saying the abuse she was receiving was disgusting. None of these kids have a clue what they are talking about! I find their attitude more annoying because they have jumped on a bandwagon, so I think that's what the op is referring to.
