It's great that Sharon will be back in the forefront of the show and I am so glad that EE is revisiting Sharon's pill addiction..

Sadly, yes. Even if I wasn't I don't have any faith they'll do this story justice. I expect it to be pedestrian and dull like every other storyline.

Sharon has been ruined this time round.
I couldn't care less about her wedding ,on off fling with phil or her addiction.
The writers have no imagination and the program has become a teen bore fest with cringe like comedy sketches that just don't work.

This.
Sharon return has been an epic fail, at first I thought it was good when she was interacting with Jack but when she became promoter of the Branning clan, and shacked up with Jack everything went bad. I don't care for Sharon or her pills, her character has become annoying and judgemental.

"However, there's a troubling hint of things to come after Sharon cuts her fingers at Tanya Cross's house. Searching for a plaster, Sharon comes across Tanya's painkillers, takes a pill and pockets the entire packet.

Magazine reports today (April 9) have revealed that Sharon's behaviour will spiral out of control in the next few weeks, as she even steals cash from R&R in order to buy more pills and feed her addiction."

Ooooh

I hope not Sharon V.3 is a wishy washy character more wet than even Alfie and what possible reason could she have for wanting to run the pub where her father was murdered?

Not that I want ''Sharon'' back in The Vic anymore but the current landlady's father was also murdered in The Vic.

This sounds half decent, looking forward to it! Anything is better than what's onscreen atm tbh.

Oh who cares? They seriously expect us to care about Sharon's addiction to paracetamol after months of avoiding the issue. I stopped caring about this storyline the minute she spilled her guts to Jack of all people and not her childhood friend Ian.

I agree and I'm no big fan of Roxy either the way she moved in with Alfie before Kat's side of the bed was cold was almost as desperate as Sharon chucking herself at Jack on her first night back.

The defence here is that Sharon worked in the pub when Den's body was dug up but once she found out Chrissie had killed Den she sold the pub back to the Mitchells and wanted to make a clean break of it. She even cut her ties with Walford when Dennis was killed but I didn't mind her coming back it's still a familiar place for her and I can see the appeal but she shouldn't have come back just to rehash the same tired crap with Phil which would remind her of the bad times she should have come back to start afresh.

I have complained about her return a lot but I did want Sharon back just not the pathetic mess they have turned her into. The worst thing of all is her desperation and clinginess around men. I'm sick of St. Alfie and his bit on the side but I really don't see Sharon V.3 as landlady material.

Why does she need to steal. Phil just upped her wages by £300 a week, she lives rent free and has no travel expenses.

Exactly. Denny will be parmed off to Ians or Dots while she shoving pills down her throat (she didn't even love Jack the only thing I could see triggering her addiction is Phils invovement in Dennis death). Will it be a week long addiction or a dragged out one.

Presumably Jack would question where the money was going? It's why some alcoholics etc. steal, so to cover their tracks.

Current Sharon is a mess why did they bring her back?

Letitia seems to have followed in Leslie Grantham's footsteps in picking the wrong time to return.

I actually agree with you on this. You're absolutely right. Sharon V.3 is not landlady material. To be honest, my attachment to EastEnders has always clung to a certain group of characters - some dead, some gone, some ruined. I'm finding it difficult to stay attached to EastEnders because they keep destroying the characters I've invested in over the years. I thought Pauline's character assassination was the final straw but somehow I stuck with it. After the unnecessary death of Pat and the ruination of Sharon I'm starting to wonder why I bother with it anymore.

After the unnecessary death of Pat
Pan asked for Pat to die as she didn't want to return.

That's not true. Pam wanted Pat left alive.

Originally. But when they put forward the ideas for how she would die and the last episode, she thought it was fantastic.
