Avril Lavigne's "Here's to never growing up" sounds like Cher Lloy's leftover
Avril just premiered on iTunes her new comebakc single "Here's to never growing up" and it just is everything Cher Lloyd is now. I think Avril should actually grow up and make room for Cher in making such music.

Maybe she worked with the same producers? Maybe she also want to produce that music? Why should she make room for someone? Everybody wants to be on top.

'Cher Lloyd leftover'? I am pretty sure if Cher wrote/got the chance to record that song before Avril it would've been Cher's first single not a left over.
I think Avril and Cher are both quite bratty (in a good way, I'm a fan of both ) which is why their music sounds similar sometimes but I don't think this song sounds like a Cher Lloyd type song personally.

Edit: Infact here is the thread here, I say it in the third comment and quite a few others agree with me. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...ight=cher+oath |

Here's To Never Growing Up does sound like Oath/Complicated in the verses but overall I think it sounds like a Kesha song. |

Trouble is that a lot of artists at the moment are producing identikit stuff to what has been trolled out over the last 4 years. It would be nice to hear something different for a change - I would hardly say Cher Lloyd is a byword for innovative.

1. Cher & Avril are from the same label.
2. HTNGU and Oath were produced by Dr.Luke. |

Cher Lloyd Oath rip-off definitely. (I don't like HTNGU at all though Avril's older stuff was what made her popular, this is turning her more into a pop artist, when she should stick at what she's best rock )

Avril Lavigne has had both pop and "rock" oriented tracks, this one is pop.
Cher was introduced as a hip hop artist at the X factor (she said so herself if I rightly remember) but seems to have veered off towards pop (I don't follow her to closely, but from her singles, I remember swagger Jagger as hip hop, and then the following as pop). Maybe that's why people get this feeling too. Funnily, the new Avril L. song made me think about "we are never ever getting back together" (the guitarre thing in the backgrounad and the general rythm)... which also is a pop song. I find it very catchy too... I like to think the lyrics are better than Taylor's song (I find them terrible), but I might be kitting myself just to justify the fact that I like it

I used to like Avril but after Best Damn Thing [which is her best album by far], she lost her youth that made her music fun and unique. Goodbye Lullaby was awful and as much as i really tried to like HTNGU i find the song boring. Im not planning on buying her new album and to be honest, I think it'll be her last one
