Not a big cryptic clue fan but Lionel Messi?

Lion - the king part (of the jungle). Squeezed lemons are messy?

Right answer!

Squeezed is an anagram indicator, then rearrange Lemon Lies to make Lionel Mes, then the cooking King is Si, of Hairy Bikers fame

Feel free to set a new clue if you wish

Sorry about the delay...I've been watching Northants beat Gloucs at the Cheltenham festival. Talking of cricket the clue is...

Young Duckworth gets 2 ducks before first declaration.

Colleague of mine was at that at the weekend, think Gloucs were playing Warwickshire. Used to go every year around the time Gloucs had Courtney Walsh, Jack Russell, Mark Alleyne etc....happy days

Young Duckworth = Tommy

Two ducks = OO

First declaration = D

Gets is a container, so Tommy contains 'ood', hence

Tom M-ood-y

There was a Gloucestershire legends v Northants legends match at Northampton on Sunday in memory of the late Kevin Curran. Walsh, Russell and Alleyne all played for Gloucs, the likes of Lamb and Capel for Northants.

You are correct with Tom Moody.
