Try using software rendering in IE - Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and tick 'Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering'. Restart IE.
If this works then the issue lies with your graphics card driver / graphics card. I've had similar issues with playing MP4 video and iPlayer in IE on some Sony laptops with AMD graphics chipsets. Worth a try...
