Frozen butter question
I put a tub of Clover butter in the freezer as I realized I wouldn't be able to use it too soon, as the expiry date is in May.
I read it can be frozen so I resolved to do that. I was wondering if, once I defrost it and the expiry date has already gone, will it still be ok to use for about a month? I freezed it when there was over a month left to the expiry date. Thanks in advance, hope I have been clear. |

Clover is margarine, not butter. You can freeze butter, but I'm really not sure about marge.
Edit: I've just Googled and it seems freezing marge is fine. It will be fine to use for a month after defrosting. |

It's usable until you leave crumbs from your toast in it and they start to go furry (about 3-4 months for us)

You use it as though it had flavour and wasn't reconstituted gunk?
![]() , but I never put anything on my bread and so on, so my taste buds don't know the difference ; I very very rarely eat butter or margarine. My boyfriend doesn't mind Clover, but likes Anchor butter. |
