I was pleased that the American public finally saw sense and voted off Lazaro.

I don't get why the judges are so keen on Amber - they must hear something different to what comes over the TV. Personally I like Janelle, but keep hoping that she performs better than she usually does.

My ranking is:

Candice
Kree
Angie
Janelle
Amber

Any of the top three could win - just because Candice did an amazing performance doesn't guarantee her the win.

BIB - That's what I thought too. Then it clicked that Amber is the one who looks most like a pop star and is therefore seen as the most marketable.

Prediction of how it will end up...

5th - Janelle
4th - Amber
3rd - Candice (although i think she could go in 4th, the 'shock' elimination is yet to happen)
2nd - Angie (should be 3rd - 5th)
1st - Kree.

How many more weeks can the judges use the save?

I don't think they would save Janelle, but would probably save anyone else.

Candice is fantastic, and I am so delighted she sang a Cure song. Fingers crossed for her, imho she deserves to win this thing.

I am really surprised that more people don't like Amber. I wasn't so keen on her Beyonce cover but the first song she did really well I thought. She has a really strong voice and is miles better than Angie.

I was led to believe that this week was the last week the save could be used, but it could be next week.

Either way, the show needs a non-elimination week to keep the number of contestants on track for the final. (There are another five weeks left until finale night). I think no matter who finishes last next week, the judges will use the save, allowing all five girls an extra chance to showcase themselves.

I think Janelle will be bottom next week, they will save her to keep it on track. She will get rebound votes for being bottom, Amber or Candice will then finish 4th i think.

I don't think the judges can use their save any more. Think it has to be used before top 5.

After having gradually switched off AI over the last 5 years I watched this week's show. Good grief this show has gone off the rails. Such mediocre singers singing such old-fashioned songs. Hard to believe it still pulls in the ratings it does. And all the boys voted off in succession? What a disaster for the show.

Not as much a disaster as it would have been if they had left any of the mediocre boys in this year.

I think this year has some of the best talent I've ever seen on Idol (boys excluded).

Any one of Angie, Kree, Candice or Amber would be worthy winners, imo.

Have to disagree about Angie and Kree....and actually...even Amber to an extent.

Amber is better then Angie and Kree, but she doesn't connect with me as much as Kree.

Ok, so Angie and Amber i disagree with. I think Kree would deserve it. It really SHOULD be Candice winning though.

Basically Fantasia was a more unique version of Candice . Candice is fantastic but sounds like a lot of singers , Fantasia doesn't really sound like anyone and really only had 1 bad week on (Gloria Estefan week )Idol and even that was only relatively bad compared to her other weeks

It maybe up for debate whether Candice is the best singer ever to appear on the show or not but her ability to transmit the emotion of the song through the TV set is unparalleled for me. She's ridiculously good.

I do agree she's good but she's not unique in being able to transmit emotion effortlessly

Fantasia I've always found a bit theatrical plus she has an Orville the Duck voice.

Candice is on another level to those who have passed before....females anyway.

totally agree! imo there's absolutely no denying her singing skills & ability to emote (she even had me mesmerised for 1 song, think she was sat on the floor?) but i absolutely despise her voice & cant bear listening to her! o.O shes a marmite singer and personally i find her as grating as nails on a blackbaord!

candice on the other hand has a lovely tone to her voice
