Even though it was his fourth trial, Justin didn't mind that he was getting out of camp and actually doing something useful. He chose Joey, Keren and Hayley to take him to the trial bridge and that's where Keren and Joey made up after their argument a few days previously. When Justin arrived at the trial area he looked nervous. Ant & Dec were stood next to a giant opaque Perspex box. It was both tall in height and long in width. The presenters told him that there were a few different challenges to complete in an alley- most are to do with different things he might find in a dark alley. They would tell him how long he had at each station and if he wanted what creatures were joining him. However the alley was completely pitch black.
Justin walked into the alley, unable to see anything. Ant & Dec announced that his first challenge was to feel inside three holes at the side of the wall. In each hole is a star guarded by a creature however he would only have 30 seconds in each hole. He put his hand into the first hole and the presenters announced that inside there was beetles. He pulled out the star with over 10 seconds remaining. In the second hole was a bandicoot- luckily it didn't bite him and he pulled out his second star. In the last hole were spiders, Justin shrieked as they climbed over him however he then managed to pull out his third star.
The next station was the grate, Justin would be lowered into a grate with the lid put on, he would have two minutes to find two stars however it was full of water and eels! Justin started to say that this was probably the most challenging task so far as it was so claustrophobic and he said that he could hardly breathe. He picked up the first star along with an eel- this startled him. He carried on searching and with only six seconds remaining- pulled out the last star. So far he had won five out of five stars.
The third challenge was two tall ladders. Justin would have to climb up them both and pull the star from the top. The star would only count however once he had got the bottom. He had won minute for each star. Justin started climbing and said the ladder was extremely cold and quite hard to climb. He pulled on the first star and a massive amount of gunge fell on him- he laughed. He started to climb back down and won his sixth star. He then started to climb the second ladder however when he tugged on the star, thousands of mealworms fell on him. After trying to remove them out of his face he didn't win his seventh star.
The penultimate challenge were the steps, he would have to crawl down six steps, every other step however was replaced by a box of jungle creatures, he would have to put his face in each one and remove the star with his teeth, he only had 90 seconds to get all three however. He started to crawl down and removed the lid off the first box- it was cockroaches, without hesitating he put his head in the box and pulled out the star. However because he had gunge on his face, cockroaches stuck to it. In the second box were crabs, once again without hesitating he put his head in and pulled it out. This had won him is eighth star. In the final box were rats and although a little nervous, he pulled out the star. So far he had won nine out of a possible ten stars and beaten his previous total.
The last task was the alley had got smaller and Justin would have to crawl through the small tunnel. He would only have 2 1/2 minutes. In the tunnel there was one star on the ceiling and one on the floor however the tunnel was filled with snakes! Justin didn't realise there were snakes until near the end and by that time he had won another star. Just as he was about to pick up the last star, the claxon went off.
Justin was happy with his total of 10/12 stars as he was hoping to get at least eight. He was extremely happy having beaten his own best of 7 and Pixie's best of 9. The only down side was that he was covered in gunge, dirt, cockroaches and maggots.
